  1. But according to Llambias "abuse" is not part of the game. And its not going to make him spend money - so we better shut up about it. Total bastard. Like others have said, this is him sticking his fingers up at us. He's that pathetic. My opinion is he should not have a comfortabale 90mins any time he sets foot inside SJP.
  2. Not saying its true, like i said i'm just trying to read between the lines of the answers, just how i saw those comments, "not above criticism as its part and parcel of the job" "abuse is not" Probably me reading too much into them. "abuse is not" is simply a line from Llambias who's trying to be clever and put people in a bad light, and trying to supress natural anger & disgust. What on earth are people supposed to chant? "We dont like you, get out of our club!"... calling him whatever is part of the game if he's took the piss out of people, everyone knows that and he knew that when he bought a football club. Its our critisism of him Derek, as we obviously dont see him any other time.
  3. ...is pretty much spot on, regardless of your opinion of the guy. Still amazed how this is missed by the mongs who chant "get out of our club" at every possible opportunity. Give over. He's alienated almost the entire fanbase since he's been here and yet we're not supposed to voice negative opinions about him and sing nasty songs because it makes him feel sad and not want to spend any money. I don't see what you expect to achieve by singing "get out of our club" - in the early post-Keegan atmopshere, it may have been able to help drive him out. By this point, it's just pointless. EDIT: and allows DL to come out with that kind of answer to justify why MA isn't putting anymore £££ into the club. It reminds him that he's not wanted here. It hurts his monumental ego. It's allowing people to express their anger about what he's doing to our club and stadium. He wouldn't put more £'s into the club if he was loved or hated. He has a cost cutting business strategy and he's sticking to it. If someone has you pinned down and is repeatedly f***ing you up the arse do you just lie there and accept your fate, or do you give them abuse, calling them a perverted arse bandit and hating them for smashing your back door in. Either way, you're going to get a very sore ringpiece so you might as well make life difficult for them whilst they do it. Exactly! I cant believe some people accept the cheek of that comment from Llambias. Ashley is ok to treat so many people (managers & fans) with such little respect in his time here, but cant take being call a fat bastard? If hes not putting money in because of that reaction from the people he has, and continue's to shaft, then thats what you call a very irresposible owner! If he's putting more advertisement on the east stand then he deserves "abuse" chanting whatever you wanna call it, because thats as blatent two finger's from him as you can get. Like has been said, he obviously has a huge ego people should not shrug their shoulders and bow down to it, he must love thinking hes some dictator, the sad bastard.
  4. Whats the difference? Chanting, abuse? Whatever you label it, its pathetic he does not expect a response to his shitty & class-less actions. Thats the mark of the man, or should I say child. The way he has treated Keegan, Shearer, Hughton, the fans and the Sports Direct nonsense on the stadium but its too much for him to be called a fat bastard?
  5. Haha unbelievable. Stop chanting about mike or else! That there sums up the childishness of the man. So utterly pathetic, it pisses me off so much. You do the things he has done (and continue's to do) and dont expect any abuse? What a sad, sad man.

The characters we are talking about are obviously sly & untrustworhy, for me its highly probable it was all PR. I dont know how anyone can find that so ridiculous, especially if youve read the tribunal report. David Craig clearly has a comfortable relationship with them, feed a few things to him and hey presto (if so, does he know its just PR? possibly). Why would they do this if they 'dont care what people think'? Maybe to a degree they do it to keep fans hoping theres good intent & good progress around the corner and will continue going to games? To justify their 'we tried, it didnt come off, unlucky us' stuff?

There is absolutely no chance we are deliberately making bids we know will fail. I don't believe that for a second. Keegan said they did that when he was there. 'We agreed a price, and they went away bidding lower knowing it would get rejected'. Im stunned that you rule out this sort of behaviour if you've read the tribunal report and see how they behaved/what they accepted from their DOF.
  8. Has anything happened like? Are you for real man??? Yes, as far as I know they've taken down some of the letters but nothing new has gone up. Sorry if Imissed something, I haven't been reading every page of this thread. You do know that Sports Direct one is made up, right? awwww ian man, you're tops like but come on - what do you think is gonna go up like? they're not cleaning the letters ahead of putting them back or something Well we'll see, if it happens I'll be as angry as anyone. All I've seen so far is a photo of some of the letters take down, and others left up out of order, and nothing else. Oh, and lots of people on a forum going mental over something that hasn't happened. As far as I can see it's just as likely to be maintenance as an evil plan to destroy the heritage of NUFC, but as I've said if something does happen then I'll go mental too. The club have already confirmed it's not for maintenance ffs. Ah right, missed that, as I said I haven't read the whole of the thread in detail. Have they said what it is then? Bit daft to claim everyone's 'going mental over something that hasn't happened' if you've not even read the thread then. The club have said it's going to be replaced with 'new, identical lettering' but have refused to confirm or deny that there's going to be commercial stuff added. Well, I've read the thread title and the last couple of pages, so I assumed that if the story was "NU lettering to be replaced with 'Cockneyz Rule OK' " I would have picked it up. From what you've said there's identical lettering going up, and there may or may not be something else added. So as I said before, nothing to go mental about at all. It's s*** on here at the moment, worst for a long time IMO. Why say that when Ashley blatently does not care for the 'heritage' side of the club? Its human nature & natural to fear the worst when Mike Ashley has the Newcastle United sign taken down because Mike Ashley has/tried to rename the stadium, has plastered sports direct right across the Gallowgate roof, continued to lie to supporters and treat good people like total crap. So the instinct when Mike Ashley moves his attention to that sign will naturally be "this does not look good" !! Even though we hope that instinct is wrong.

Kevin Keegan said they agreed a fee for a player, they went away to bid for the player, and changed the bid to a lower price knowing it would get rejected. Thats his words. Of course its not insanity man, a lot of things point not it - not least what Keegan said!

Not if your asking in which context the bid was made.
  12. It will go in eventually to accept a total con, shut up and do what your told regardless if the explanation given dosent make sense?? Do you not realise that things change when people make things happen, and not accept rubbish because theyre told to? Even the perfectly plausable notion of fans finding a spot in the ground to stand together - like most grounds in the Premier League - without causing bother to anyone else, is something that should be dismissed?? Even though it happened with Level 7.
  13. Apologise now for ignoring the rest even though its more than you deserve tbh. Safe standing isnt going to happen ever, get over it end of, whether its you(depending on which post you make) or anyone else its nothing to do with the club. You choose how to watch the game and how others are stuck with your choice. The rule is wrong, just because its the 'rule' doesent mean everyone should shrug their should & accept it. What would the world come to if anything was accepted because it had been imposed as the rule? Like minded fans should get together and stand if they want, without obstructing others who dont want to. Thats where the problem is in the corner obviously, and those fans with people behind wanting to sit should sit too, but the aim should always be to work together and help each other have the match day experience they want - just like how Level 7 evolved. Like i said, if the corner doesnt work out, perhaps the back of the gallowgate would work better.
  14. Mate, seriously, you aren't doing yourself or anyone pidgeon-holed into the L7 movers 'problem' any favours here. For what reason do you come to that conclusion? I was quoting where Johnny typed 'poor L7-ers having to stand in front of people'....poor people having to stand?. Why do we have to stand? I'm a level 7 dweller who has been relocated, however I'm not bleating on as if I have a divine right to stand and p*ss people off. I relocated to the back of the Gallowgate for this very reason. I like to stand during a football match. I like to be able to jump around like a clown. I don't however expect to make people stand if they don't want to. The fact is, it's against Premier League ground regulations to allow persistent standing, whether we like it or not. In L7 Singing section, en masse, it was impossible to police, hence why we used to get away with it. God knows the stewards tried at the beginning. I even saw one fan punched by a steward for not sitting. I also understand the necessity to try and create an atmosphere and admire people who give it a damn good go (me and my mates try our best every game) but when you upset or p*ss people off around you by abuse or consistent foul language, you alienate those who come to football just to enjoy a good game and don't wish to shout themselves hoarse. It's been explained/argued/discussed that these rules are wrong and safe standing is actually being raised in parliament. The Bundesliga is a prime example of how easy it is to allow safe standing areas within football grounds without health and safety big wigs having a hissy fit, but until this time (many years down the line...if at all), ground regulations stipulate that you are not allowed to persistently stand. There's absolutely nothing we can do about it. The only thing I was saying against your posts was the way you think you have the right to put yourself in a ‘different league’ and that everything revolves around us L7 movers. Unfortunately life is about compromise. You give some, you take some. There’s always a happy medium. Football should be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of race/age/ability, however fundamentally it's the rules that are wrong but until they change, then I’m afraid we can’t do didilly squat. Exactly. I think anyone who wants to stand should always attempt to stand with like-minded fans (without causing problems for people who want to sit), like the say the rule is wrong, its a disgrace, so we shouldnt accept it. If the corner dosent work this season, maybe people can move to the back of the gallowgate next season and get this to grow from there instead, we'll see how the corner goes.
  15. Yes. Its such an iconic part of the ground and should not be touched.
  16. Great post, but expect some abuse. I am, I'm waiting for the shepherd fans who stood outside chanting like a loon and cheering at the "us geordies are a special breed of people to come haring after me I agree the summer window has actually been decent, we have bought some seemingly good players, and I certainly dont see us scrapping for relegation. But I do not believe there was ever any intetion to spend anything near 35m, so I do not agree with Pardew/the club saying there was 35m to play with this summer. Get the season ticket sold, basically. And most of all, I do not agree with raping the club of its heritage by, in this instance, removing the iconic Newcastle United sign from the east stand. This tells us the man in charge is, despite being a billionaire, also a class-less low life - prepared to act out his childish two-fingers message to his 'customers' in such a disgusting, pathetic and blatent way, because they dared to react to his lies. That goes beyond football.
  17. Wow. That is painful to look at. This is a piss take, an attack on our identity & heritage, and an attack on the fans. This over-rides any transfer business or whatever happens on the pitch, he can sell which ever player he wants, fail to sign a striker etc, but this is the real news. Totally unacceptable is an understatement, this is rape of the club.

    Pardew Patter

They need to ask him his opinion on the Newcastle United sign being taken down & replaced, and if he understands the disgust the fans feel about that. That for me over-shadows any faluire's in the transfer market, and has undone some of the good work getting (potentially) good players like Santon & Cabaye.
  19. It's either stubbornness to the extreme or there's no funds being made available to him. They've came out a number of times and said there are funds for there manager if he wants to spend. If thats changed then they really need to clarify that.
  20. To say "buying players is always the english solution" or whatever is another stubborn, offensive comment to Arsenal fans. You couldnt think stubborness could go this far, its just crazy, what happened to common sense?
  21. He was one of the few players to come out of the relegation season with credit, he generally played well that season, its just a myth he suddenly came good in the Championship imo. Once we were relegated everyone was saying how Enrique was going to storm the Championship.

    The Arsenal

Because you believe in you philosophy and system, and that becomes almost more important than winning trophies. As a manager though you have to be able to see the bigger picture IMO, Wenger is paid to win trophies by Arsenal and while I admire his philosophy and his history it is arguably this flaw which is unnecessarily holding them back. If the philosophy/system isn't good enough you have to be able to see that and adapt as necessary. The philosphy in terms of style of play has become so one-deminsional and actually boring a lot of the time imo, if you look past the tv hype. Like I said, tippy tappy football, most the time trying to score a goal by walking in the net, no long shots, no bullet headers, when they actually put a cross in the box against us at SJP I didnt feel in any danger as a fan at all, because they've only got Van Persie 'up there' but he drifts to the wing/deep etc anyway.

    The Arsenal

In what way? Well he's reconstructed the whole club from top to bottom with emphasis on youth, and developing players to play the Arsenal way. I just mean I can see why he's reluctant to admit that it isn't going to work this time around and go out and bring in half a team. If something isnt working then its his natural duty to at least try and tinker it, change it the plan in some way. To refuse to do that because it would be admitting he's made some mistakes is arrogance in the extreme, and probably partly the problem. And its not half a new team - I think in general everyone agrees that a Centre-back, Central Midfielder, and Striker would improve Arsenal's chances of winning the league immensley. Buying the good players isnt easy obviously, but surley Scott Dann from Birmingham would improve their defense, add more grit & physicality which is what theyre lacking. Someone in the middle who puts his foot in and shows leadership & organisation. A more physical striker to give more variation, and to actually make use of Gibbs bombing forward putting in crosses (Demba Ba might have been decent for them). Its unfair on the young players out there who have no experience to look to, no leader to guide them through games when it gets tough, hes putting it all on their shoulders and theyre not going to develop to their full poential surley in that kind of set up.
