  1. Blæææææææææææææææææææææææææææhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarhj! I'm a about to sue Ashley...

    Imagine this:

    "Ashley sued due to boredom"

Norwegian claimes his life is destroyed trough boredom due newcastle relegation, lack of sale and manager at the club.

  2. 1) How much money would you need to have in the bank before you were willing to buy the club in the first place? (assume club can be purchased for £100m)

    £100m. Preferably backed-up by a rich consortium.

    2) Who do you appoint as manager?

At this point I’d go for Shearer. This is basically down to the fact (?) that the majority of fans and players would like him. Although he is unproven (in the sense that he’s got next to no managerial experience) I’d appoint him because he knows the club through and through, he’s a Newcastle fan, he cares, people like him, players like him and respect him.

    3) Do you take a hands on approach with the clubs operations, or do you appoint a chief executive?

In true “FM spirit” I’d have some “hands on approach”.  I’d gather people with experience of running a professional football club. With a good mixture of people with international AND/OR  national/local knowledge and experience.

    4) Do you appoint a director of football?

    No.

    5) How much money per season on transfers?

Since my main focus would be stability through a “knowledge center” of experienced and professional people, the “money per season” question would be discussed frequently and carefully planned.

    6) Who controls how transfer budget is spent?

Same as above. But I’d like to give my manager and his staff enough freedom to have an important role in deciding both 5) and 6)

    7) Do losses (excluding transfer fees) come out of the transfer budget or out of your wallet?

    My Wallet

    8) What is your overall business plan?

Since I’m in for a long period, I’d have both short-term goals and long-term goals. The short-term planned would include Shearer picking his own staff, handing over his list of potential transfer targets, getting rid of the dead-wood. Next I’d like to focus on the football academy, making sure we’d get more talented youngsters and building on this buy continuing the investment in young talents from abroad. My overall business would have us follow a more of “Everton/Aston Villa”- plan, and do “Wenger youth policies” in the reserves/U18. Plus, expanding the scout network (if we even have one).

    9) Would you ever intervene on any issue? Where do you draw the line on intervention?

I’d listen to the people under #5) and #6), and I’d take advice from others as well (the fans, local legends and people caring for the club and Newcastle)

    10) Where do you sit on match days?

Working my ass of in the office or out travelling.

    11) Would you maintain a high or low-profile?

On the lower end of the scale.

    12) How do you respond to the press?

I’d address any issue or enquiry to avoid speculations and “limbos”. I’d inform people as accurate as possible, when necessary. I think it’s important that the fans knows what’s going on.

    13) How would you make future managerial decisions?

Really depends on if I’m making a decision due to retirement or axing. But I’d like to stay clear of hasty decision, and do things according to #8).

    14) Would there be fan representation on the board?

    Yes.

    15) Anything else you'd do?

Carefully building for the future. Listen to the fans.

  3. At this point I'd fucking love for a multi-billionaire ala at man city to come in buy us, and have a gigantic spending spree !!

Don't care if we even contributed to an insanely unfair market. Would just be fucking fab !

  4. The reason I'm asking is that I've been surfing this forum, and probably a million other sites, ever since MA put the club up for sale. So I simply can't wait for this to happen. And I'd rather come back on tuesday and hopefully see some progress, then coming here every other hour and see nothing :p

  5. Just logged on to find 12 more pages on this

Has there been anything more substantial that Thomo mentioning this?

Obi from another forum is sharing the same information, as is a Liverpool fansite

Probably all from one original source!

So, is this shit going down tomorrow?

  6. you beat me to it :)

for once I hope this is some true stuff... from the sun pfff.. I know...  but still  :celb: <--- long time since I've used this. Feels good... I might just add some more :celb: :celb: :celb: just for the cause... :pow:

can someone make a sheik smiley ?:D

  7. Saw Onuoha signed a new five-year deal today. Why? He'll be behind Toure, Richards, Kompany and possibly Lescott too.

He should be looking to move somewhere for first team football at this stage in his career. Sad tbh.

    Money.

  8. No, couldn't care less at the moment. I posted an article from NUFC Mad a few pages back, and as wild and unreliable as that might seem, I'm actually starting to believe it's true. And now I just think it's funny, hilarious, actually, that Ashle is prepared to ruin his billionaire wealth and reputation by running a football club into administration after getting them relegated. I mean, seriously, it's like his running a campaign trying to capture the "one of the most stupid and childish person in the world" award.

Newcastle will always get back and re-build. But Ashley... :dowie:

  9. Everyone in this thread is an idiot who is doomed to an awful life due to a series of woeful decisions.

You guys had the chance, you could've made it out. No-one would've looked down upon you, you're not even from the area.. You could've won title after title with Man Utd, watched an unbeaten season with Arsenal, you could've experienced the glory of THAT champions league final vs AC Milan or you could've watched The Great One run the Russian Revolution.

But no. You got Nicky Butt. And its your own stupid fault.

Yeah, sometimes I think of that. But when I consider the fanbase of the clubs you just mentioned, just being associated with them makes me sick to the stomach, so NUFC it is lol.

thats a bit harsh, we still have Ameobi, and we HAD Titus Bramble :D  :iamatwat:

  10. Interesting read and it raises an intriguing point about our future fans. Many people who became fans from outside the area were 'chramed' by Shearer, Keegan, entertaining football etc and for the current crop of young pups growing up and looking for a team to latch onto, we have more or less no chance of being considered.

Being from the Toon, it's hard for me to empathise with those who 'chose' to support us, but the way I see it we are gong to be short of fresh recruits in Norway, North Dakota, Nuneaton and Nairobi.

Yeah, recently my 12 yr old nephew asked me which team I thought he should support, and I said stay clear of Newcastle if you want to avoid miserable pain and suffering. Also stay clear of Sunderland and 'Boro if you want to have me as your uncle  :iamatwat:

  11. Ashley Out To 'Destroy' Newcastle Before He Goes?

    By Nu Mad

    Monday, 27th July 2009

We hear today that Mike Ashley's puppet, Derek Llambias, admits he got it wrong when he said the Toon have "received two offers of over £100m for the club". Allegedly ... he got it wrong.

So if Llambias doesn't know the state of play - and he's got Ashley's hand up his arse as a glove puppet - what IS the truth?

Because rumours coming from London suggest the Newcastle owner is going to wait until the transfer window is closed before selling the club ... leaving the club with ten-to-twelve players who are resigned to leaving ... while replacements will not be found.

We have spoken to Tony Taylor, who is well known in Mike Ashley's financial circles, and he says: "I would not be surprised if Mike holds out until September or October because I think he has taken enough of the flak from the Newcastle fans, and his heart is not in it any more."

Taylor: "I think Mike sees this as 'pay back time'.

"The ball is in his court, he can sell the club to whoever he wishes, at whatever price.

"But I'm sure he has an axe to grind. He was a highly successful business man two years ago, and in the two years since he bought into Newcastle the world has fallen in around his ears.

"He was a highly respected man. Now he is seen as the man who destroyed a Geordie dream, and is without doubt a hated man on Tyneside.

"His business dealings recently have been horrendous, and he is a man on the back foot.

"If he sells Newcastle for £100m, and they get promoted, the value of the club will double - at the very least - and he will look a failure once again.

"Do you think he WANTS Newcastle to get promoted? Personally ... if I was put on the spot ... I'd say I very much doubt it.

"He has pressure from all angles - the players are up in revolt, Alan Shearer wants the job but is getting no indication he will get it, and the fans want to run him out of town.

"He's a hunted man, probably because of his own doing, but he isn't the sort of man to take it on the chin and walk away.

"Ashley has the final say on the future of Newcastle United ... and THAT my dear friend ... is very worrying for Newcastle fans.

"It's not so much 'going down with the ship' ... I wonder if he WANTS to hit that iceburg."
