  1. AND FINALLY

Angry Chelsea supporters want to get their own back on Norwegian referee Tom Henning Ovrebo, who made a number of controversial decisions in the Blues' Champions League semi-final, second leg against Barcelona. They have set up an internet campaign to stop Norway winning the Eurovision song contest.

That has to be the worst retaliation from any fan group in any sport at any time in history. LOL is all I have to say. Just... L O L

No x-mas tree to england this year then.

  2. If the club want rid of him I doubt Barton would be willing to not play football for 3 years just to get his wages. He'd move on to the next club willing to offer him another 'last chance'.

Unless he does the same as that bloke Bogarde at Chelski back in the days...

  3. The way I see this is that we have a bunch of players who are not here to play for the club, but only for the money. It's as easy as that.

Never mind relegation or surviving, what this club needs is a massive clear out due to overpaid players and bad culture.

When Allardyce did it we actually managed to replace said overpaid players with even worse ones, so is that really what we need?

Granted there are a few players so far over the hill they need to be replaced regardless, but I think we'll be better off building on the resources we already have.

That is true, but then you can ask whether a £40,000++ salary is justified when NUFC ain't competing for anything. We haven't done that for years now. I'd rather prefer we went for less known and demanding players, and focused on those willing to put in an effort toward achieving something. It's extremly difficult to build a culture like the one man utd have, but that should be our goal. Dietmar Hamann did very well for us , and although you could argue that he, and a handful of others like woodgate and so on, left due to personal ambitions.. atleast they put in an effort and played an important role.

  5. It also says that his agent doesnt know anything about the Newcastle-rumours..

He would say that just to push the price up... anyways.. always nice to see us being linked with a Norwegian player. Just wished NUFC went out and bought one. Maybe Reginiussen from Tromsø IL.

  6. Erik Huseklepp from SK Brann in Norway is linked with a move to Newcastle.

link: http://www.nettavisen.no/innenriks/ibergen/article2615392.ece Its in Norwegian, but basically says that he doesn't mind whether NUFC play in EPL or Championship.

IMO: He's a good player, not as good as Per Ciljan Skjelbred, but he' go pace and likes to attack. The bad things are that  he tends to be inconsistent and has had some serious injuries. As long as he can stay fit, he can be a good rotiation player for us.

  7. On a more serious note, if NUFC stay up, it's not about the figures in terms of how much is needed. I think most people would agree that we need to replace quite a few players, and that we need to add more on top of that. Well... what is even more interesting is that IF we survive, and Ashley decides not to spend or change his policies, then I think that will hurt the club more because fans will be so fed up with everything, that the won't  engage in any sort of engagement.

  8. That would be the same as saying to the driver of a car who drives discreditable that I'm going to be a passenger no matter what you do. I'd gladly get killed with you in a car accident if that's what it takes, as opposed to say "You know what, if this is the way your going to drive then let me off".

And by my last sentence, I'm not saying I'll jump the ship "just because the club gets relegated". If it had just been relegation, I'd still be here. Unfortunately its not. The club has been heading this way, slowly...through a series of bad decisions. And that has been even more painful to witness than just a simple relegation.

  9. Towelie, with all due respect mate. You will never feel the same pain I will if we go down.

Nixon, with no respect whatsoever, f*** off if you honestly think that.

    Grow up.

I don't debate your ability to be a fan, and I'm not saying I'm a better fan. I'm saying that its going to be more relevant for me.

    Funny. How's that?

  10. Got to agree. These WIDE-open letters need to stop? Excuse me for being heartless and cold, but some of you need to pull together. I started supporting this club when Shearer came from Blackburn and what I've witnessed is just a club slowly falling apart since that day. And you know what other things that have changed since then? Everything. You all know that football clubs are owned by billionaire as toy and ways of showing off their success. It's yesterdays news.

In the past, football was passion in a completely different way as opposed to today. The fans had more power (in some sense) back then because the gap between the wealthy chairman/men and the fans was smaller. Today it's not the same. Mike Ashley owns the club. It's just like if I were to sell my car to someone here. .. and then after a while I'd discover that the new owner was a total dick and behaving totally discreditable when driving the car.... and then I'd confront him/her and say "you know what, I love that car so much and care so much for it that no matter what you do to it I won't stop caring for it".... Do some of you really think that what I said would have mattered to the new owner? I don't..

In the same way, Mike Ashley doesn't care about it. He owns the club.

For most of you, if you just look back, ever since Keegan resigned in the 90's (except SBR era) this club and slowly fallen apart because of bad decisions over and over again. What more is there to say?

Well, I can admit that I'm not following this club down to Championship. Not a chance. I've lost all confidence that things will change. I've watch bad decision being made ever since Keegan resign. And I've had enough of it. I'll never switch sides. I made my choice of being a NUFC supporter and I'll stand by that. But I just can't trust the people in charge anymore because nobody seems to, or be willing to do, what right.
