  1. Would hope a huge investment in the academy though Need 6-10 U18s
  2. Give him time English managers get such a hard time Brucie is such a lovely bloke
  3. There seems to be a lot of Declan Rice love. I just dont see it. The whole time for England he just passed it backwards. Never once looked up or ran into space. Commentators going crazy like he is the best player in the league right now.
  4. Dude on SKY said "Steve Bruce has a lot of work ahead of him with this squad. What we know about Steve Bruce though is he wont panic" Youre right bud. In fact - he will probably take the next 3 days off
  5. This is such a great benchmark to see how far we have come. Playing away against a good team. Win, lose or draw - hope we put in a great performance. We need to keep the condidence
  6. Id like something similar to accommodate ASM "not tracking back" Dubravka Schar Lascelles Burn Murphy Targett Bruno Willock Joelinton <------ ASM (free) ---------> Wood

    Paul Dummett

Steady as a CB in a 3, but Championship level at best as a LB

    Joelinton

Carry on with his current rate of progression and you have a big/strong Ngolo Kante. Player obsessed with hunting and winning back possession.
  9. Not sure why Trippier can displace our RB, Targett can displace our LB, etc But our biggest signing cannot displace Shelvey I do think we have done the right thing up to now, but sooner or later you need to start playing the guy - even if just under the guise of "rotation"
  10. Think we may be tempted to go 5 at the back, dropping Fraser. Could give ASM more license to stay up front in a 2 with Wood, but more of a free role along the left

    Emil Krafth

Dummet and Krafth tucked in so much. Game was so different when they came on. Both constantly running backwards, or completely tucked in near CBs
  12. From 10 to 1 for me Been a supporter for 30 years, but had enough and started watching international football more. I am 100% back now. 1 all the way

    Joelinton

Every time he touches the ball, wish the crowd would shout "Beast" -> "BEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSTTTTTTT"

    Joe Willock

I think he was great. Still raw but heaps of potential in this role

    Joelinton

Just came on here to say I love big Joe. Has become an indispensable part of the midfield. Incredible how good he is in the position given how inexperienced he is. Imagine what he could be with a few seasons under his belt (and good coaching)
  16. If we play with the same hunger as the last game, I think we could realistically get points off all teams except top 3. Not saying we always will, but its not as hopeless as it was 3 months ago when we expected defeat from most games
  17. Some of his passing is really good, but he shouldnt be in the DM/Pivot role Jonjo Shelvey Scouting Report | FBref.com

    Joe Willock

Very raw. Moments of magic though. He keeps up this progression he could own his role
  19. Reminds me of Bramble to some extent. Has the tools, and on his day is a wall. On other days, he is a car crash. On form, he can be a rock in our defense
  20. Im on the fence with this one. I think he should have complete license to go on a run if needed, but my god - sometimes look up and play the simple pass. A one-two can be just as effective as trying to run through 3 defenders. He is a beast of a player, and I am a huge fan - but his decision making can improve. Nobody is perfect, something for him to work on
