Technically we've lost out to every big six member somehow this summer Mbeumo - Man U Ekitike - Liverpool Delap / Pedro - Chelsea Trafford - Man City Kudus (Spurs) and Madueke (Arsenal) were both strongly linked with us also - but we chose Elanga So maybe we can ignore that one It's not as though any of these player are super super elite - it's not like we're buying a Tonali - they are all good players. So honestly not sure what is happening here.
  2. Part of me is going all Matt Le Tissier and thinking maybe there's an PL agreement between everyone to boycott NUFC to deal with the emerging threat of a new superpower Hence no-one is accepting even good bids of ours
  3. Eddie Howe is having the worst summer of the lot He's got to make this lot perform somehow next season with zero extra support Elanga in and Isak out is a major downgrade
  4. At thsi point, let's just sign 5 freebies. And build up depth and get a bit of confidence back. DCL / Jovic Tomiyasu Zouma / Lindelof Doucure Ziyech Then we can buy a few worldies towards the end of the window
  5. Donnarumma Maignan Chevalier
  6. This is absolute injustice if true. This is where it actually because unhelpful to be owned by Saudi rather than a benefit. They shouldn't do it according to 'ownership' - John Textor owning Lyon and Crystal Palace and bloody PIF an entire soverign wealth fund for one of the richest countries in the world owning a few clubs are NOT the same. Al Hilal and Al Nassr have not acted in any way towards us like a sister club - the opposite in fact. The one transaction we did was way underpriced. Compare that with Chelsea and Strasbourg, Forest and Olympiakos, and Man City and Girona. Even Brighton and USG. When does common sense prevail here? It's red tape for no reason
  7. I disagree I don't think we'd have Mbappe etc, but some of those prospects we were linked with, Perrone, Santos, Roque, etc we'd have probably gotten, we'd also bid higher for core targets like Olise, Guler, Szob etc. And wouldn't be gazumped quite so much because we'd be able to compete on wages and fees. Wouldn't win them all obviously but definitely a stretch to say we wouldn't be significantly better off, when it's clear as day we've been sticking to rules religiously and severely limited as a result
  8. Finally working on multiple deals About time - we're only nearly in August
  9. Well we're getting 150m plus the Ekitike money we had bid...
  10. Tbh if we had gotten 4-5 players in early doors, the ambition would have been enough to make him stay Right now he is doubting just as much as we all are
  11. Trafford Tino Scalvini/Guehi Botman Hall Tonali Bruno Elanga Simons Gordon Sesko Pope Trippier Schar Burn Targett Joelinton Gallagher Miley Murphy Wissa Barnes Ruddy, Lascelles, Krafth, Willock, Osula Not a bad first and second XI more rounded. Currently, we have Isak and Tonali and perhaps Bruno head and shoulders above everyone else. The above raises the overall quality of the team as a whole
  12. Openda is not enough of a replacemnet. Must be Sesko out of whoever is left top tier Bring Guler in too
  13. I agree. The Saudi Pro League $$$ is what they would have done for NUFC had they been allowed as that didn't really exist in its current form then. Remember getting linked with Mbappe etc The world cup, CWC etc has now positioned Saudi where they wanted to be, significant players in the football game, without the stress and operations difficulity of doing that with NUFC with the restrictions that exist Guess who wins again (or loses again, in this case)
  14. Sesko, Scalvini and Simons - top tier replacements which increases the ceiling and gives us more than Isak gives on his own. Wissa and Gallagher - good solid pros for depth Ideally Trafford too. That would actually leave us net positive and ready for CL.
  15. Hear me out. Let's sort out our depth in one fell swoop. Chabaloah, Tosin Andrey Santos Nkunku + 63M Get back what we paid, plus four decent backup
  16. PSG would be fine. Chelsea could win the league if they get him alongside Xavi Simons Liverpool must not get him. It would become a Man City esque dynasty - the next 4-5 years would belong to them
  17. Al Hilal - I'd want £150m PLUS Ruben Neves, or £200m without Neves PSG - Ramos or Muani or Barcola or Donnarumma or Kang-in Lee plus £100m Liverpool - you can't have him at all - no deal. Barcelona probably can't afford him Real Madrid don't need him
  18. No - he is worth 300k all day long, that is the going rate. So the infrastructure at the club is not quite right for the ambition it seems. Even Spurs could probably pay 300k for Kane when he was there even though they are low payers. This was an exception we should have taken.
  19. One a week. I don't trust our ability to haggle and negotiate so for speed we need to pay release clauses. Where's Graham Carr's little black book of release clauses?
  20. If we get Sesko and Wissa, Gallagher, Guehi/Scalvini and Maignan/Trafford - then we're actually better off as a squad, even if we have let our one world class player go. The argument is that we should have had all those types in mind for this season anyway. We do need a Sesko or Osimhen level replacement - Wissa is not a no.1 striker for our aspirations. We should retain a % of future transfer fee for him.

Wissa’s game reminds me of Papiss Cisse

If we had 60m available for Pedro and Ekitike then pay that for Sesko instead
  23. But you can see the players he was trying to get in January - Khusanov and Juma Bah, both young CB's was the kind of players he would have gotten in. Man City beat us then, too. We are slow pokes in the market - we need a killer instinct, fast.
