  1. I'd definitely replace Waddle with Barnes or Ginola, and Rush with Kluivert or Owen Bench: Pope Coloccini Albert Batty Ben Arfa Isak Asprilla
  2. Would love to get him on loan next season, would be a great door-opener (hate Souness for introducing that phrase)
  3. It's a shame they weren't all good managers

The thing is, accepting any offer could be an opening the floodgates moment, because if you let the crown jewels in Isak go, you're telling everyone that you're not intending to be number 1 like Yasir originally said. It affects the selling and can disrupt morale internally as then Tonali, Botman and Bruno and others who were sold the dream might want to follow suit - whereas they may not have had any intention previously.
  5. Honestly think if we have a proper transfer window with 3-4 key signings and all of our players back (and no-one key sold) and we can actually challenge for the title. Liverpool may struggle with a new management and new identity Arsenal may drop off if they either win this year (as achieved their aim), or fall just short (as did Liverpool the year after quadruple flopped) Man City will be there or thereabouts but it sounds like the 115 charges are now about to be heard and it could be deadly Villa are looking good but may struggle with balancing CL with PL especially with lack of experience, like us. Man U - nowhere near - not in the conversation - even if they get a new manager Chelsea are improving but need a few more seasons to mature Spurs, not consistent enough Whatever you think of this season, our XG, our performances, everything for the most part has been very strong - it's the luck of the cup draws and the devastating injuries that have destroyed the season - even then we're doing very well to be where we are.
  6. One excellent thing is the fact that the Man U game is delayed, it may suit us perfectly as we could have Trippier, Pope and Joelinton back for then. would really help us to get a result there. this has to be the season we finish above them man. Get that monkey off our back.
  7. Wouldn’t be a bad third choice striker tbf after Isak and Wilson
  8. That’s why Bruno Gordon and Schar deserve huge credit this season, they’ve done a lot of heavy lifting across the entire spine.

Agreed every club in the league would want him 120m isn’t that much anymore not even in his prime yet 180-220m Osimhen who is comparable as a finisher is linked with clubs for 150m

Raw talent alone and Ben Arfa is up there
  11. I hope he does it, deserves it more than Ameobi
  12. Sell. His time is done.
  13. I wouldn’t even mind taking Longstaff off and putting Gordon as an 8 and bringing Barnes on. Longstaff is honestly terrible right now and has been all season
  14. Oh didn't realise that - in that case we will probably resign Shefki Kuqi, Riviere and Fumaca (on loan)
  15. The January 2022 relegation battle splurge (Wood, et al) will drop off Almiron is almost certainly gone Possibly Wilson Lots of high earners out - Dubravka, Ritchie etc 100m net spend I can certainly see happening - we did that back in 2016 in the Mitrovic Wijnaldum window. Think PIF will sense an opportunity this summer as a changing of the guard, Klopp out, Man U's struggles, in conjunction with this season's struggles etc - it made sense after the success of last year to continue with the same squad - but one year on, they will want to continue the speed of acceleration in my opinion
  16. Getting Olise and Eze for around 90m both in plus a sell on clause would be good business and transform us as an attacking force. Add Sesko and the two freebie CBs in Kelly and Tosin and honestly a great summer. A backup GK on loan would be fine until January or next summer.
  17. After seeing Eze I would love to get him, better version of Maddison. Olise too would be awesome for that RW. If Andersen wasn't as old as he is, he could be good for RCB, a like for like to put pressure on Schar
  18. Interesting that he's based a lot of the visualisation stuff on Salah, who he said is a player he really looks up to and wants to emulate If Gordon ends up being our Salah, that would be quite something
  19. Honestly, it's really shown INEOS to be a joke. What's the point of best-in-class hires if your project can't really get started until 2026. Arguably Ashworth as the guy to tie everything together would have been the first in the door, to lay the foundations and strategy. If the amount we want is 20m and they offered 10m as a starting point, negotiating can commence. If you're starting at 2m - you'd think the other party aren't serious and you'd walk away for such an insulting offer. 20m or no deal.
  20. This is true and completely ridiculous. Chelsea have literally had sugar daddy blow-everyone-out-of-the-water owners not once but twice in a lifetime. Jammiest club going. At least Abrahamovic has gone who was actually a sane serious successful owner with a plan - like the Man City guys.

Yes it would be great to have a Harry Kane of the North

I'd do a swap with Cubarsi, Yamal, Gavi and Raphinia coming the other way.
  23. Due to Anderson and Mileys emergence, I really do think Longstaff has never been more dispensable. We don’t lose the local feel as we will still have Burn and the others. In fact as pure profit for FFP anything he brings in would have a bigger impact and prevent too much pressure on needing to get rid of more purple players. It’s a perfect storm. He’s done a great job but it feels like when Lee Clark left, it was the right time.

To be fair, their wanting Isak (because of Henry) is like us wanting Paqueta because of Bruno It's not really grounded in reality, it's just what the fans want The reality is the club probably can't afford it. Isak is up there with Osimhen, Mbappe, Haaland as the most expensive strikers in the world. Osimhen may be up for sale this summer - that's it as far as the uber elite go.
