I would absolutely love him here, especially if we would give him a couple of years to build a team. Was hoping to get him when we got Roeder and again with Allardyce (although I was happy to get Allardyce at the time). I think O'Neill has done a very good job at Villa and can't see them getting rid.

Jan Mølby is probably my favourite commentator in danish. He'll just say all these obvious things and make them sound profound, like whenever a team concedes a goal, it's a bad time to concede "it's very bad to go behind at the start of the game" or "It's important not to lose a goal right before half-time. "If you don't hit the goal, you might as well not shoot" or the contradicting "you miss 100 % of the chances you don't take" and the classic "you need to score goals to win games". Or the pragmatic "A well-taken penalty is a penalty that goes in". Love it.

I can see why he would make that decision as he knows that even if he got to South Africa, he would probably get little/no game time. Might be different if he was close to being a starter. He did say though that he is not retiiring from international football, but with the death of his father and a possible promotion to the premier league, he wants to focus on those two. Good for him and us really.

Don't know if it was mentioned anywhere else, but Løvenkrands has told danish media, that he won't go to the world cup. Even if he did make the team. Apparently due to his fathers passing away and him wanting to spend some time with his family in the summer. Very understandable and it shows what a good professional he is, to keep on banging in goals despite having this hanging over his head.

1. The earliest we CAN be promoted is Forest (h). But that is only if Forest lose points in both of their next two matches and lose to us, while we win our next two and Leicester gets a maximum of three points in their next three games and Swansea maximum six.
