The women’s level has gotten better but the goals still look comical.
-
Bayern already 2-0 up after 30 mins. Mane with the second. Musiala absolutely running the show. Cannot believe he’s 19.
-
German Super Cup looks tasty. Bayern vs Leipzig. Both teams with strong lineups. Mane playing as Bayern’s #9. N’Kunku as Leipzig’s.
-
didn’t people used to call him ugly on here. Never got that.
-
Fuck off ref, thats a goal.

he could have made a run down the wing he was on but crossed to the other side while de Brunye still had the ball. No idea wht he was he was thinking. I’m literally in shock at the decision making.
-
was just saying that to my brother about Grealish. “What are you going to do Jack? Oh that’s right pass it back” Feel like Cancelo runs that wing all by himself and Grealish just gets in the way of things.
-
Grealish is so ineffective.
-
What a player Cancelo is.
-
Aye. They're playing some good football. Should be 2 or 3 up.

Burnley’s kit makes me feel like there’s something wrong with my TV.

Guy has had the strangest career of any footballer I’ve ever seen. I vaguely remember people hyping him up on here when he was at Forrest, then somehow ended up playing for Chile in the Copa America and after that experience went from 7 goals in the Championship to 22. And the Chile call up was a little strange as he wasn’t exactly pulling up trees for Blackburn from a statistical standpoint. Maybe his all around game is really good. I have no idea.

I saw the vid and he's got a lot more skill than I thought. Gerrard and Yaya did play as a 10 for a number of years, though. I see Grealish as primarily a winger tbh where as Eze has a lot more dynamism to his game.
-
I see no similarities between Jack Grealish’s game and Eze. Grealish cuts in from the outside and plays on the left hand side of a front three. Eze plays on the left hand side of the midfield three. He may be the most attacking midfielder in the team but he’s no way a winger and replicating Zaha’s output would be extremely difficult. You also have to remember Zaha is basically 30 and has always been some sort of winger. I think Eze should continue to develop as a midfielder because he can become a very good one, one that could surely play for England. I think Eze is a classic midfielder and when I say that I mean a 6 goal season for the rest of his career would be exceptional.
-
I've seen him mostly in the middle or left of the midfield three... This was for Palace, didn't see him for QPR so not sure he played in the front line there. But I think it'd going to be a tough order replace Wilfried Zaha. The amount of fouls he gets, the goals, assists and general shithousery may take a few cycles to get right. I do hope he stays. I think he will as a lot of the big teams have players in his position and I could see him becoming a wingback like Victor Moses.( And if anyone thinks I'm bringing up the old LWB again, Louis Van Gal told Zaha himself you have two options, - wingback or number 9) They'll build a statue if he ended his career there. Iverson may never have won a ring but the respect he has in the game goes so much further than that. I love Eze btw but I thought he was a 8/10 depending on the system. Zaha is primarily on the left, no? Where as Eze is all action in the middle third. Thought Eze was the driving midfield type like a Gerrard or Toure.
-
Zaha and Eze are completely different players. Eze’s a driving type midfielder and Zaha is a winger who’s a striker in todays game. Don’t think Eze will stick around like Zaha. One good injury season and he’ll be off. Think CMs like that are hard to come by so its best to get them when they’re available at the best price.

Heard Leicester fans are unhappy because Arsenal keep diddling with the price and they just want to spend the money already.

If we were to create a Newcastle best games collection

Always had this fantasy of Ronaldo going to Ajax to stadpad his numbers even more.
-
It would be a good time for Ronaldo to leave. Persevered his legacy at 37 in a poor Man Utd squad. No questions can be asked about his ability. showed up everyone like Maguire, Sancho, Rashford, Pogba, Bruno.

Agree with your take on Tuchel. Don't think he's knows how to play his forward line.
-
Understandable. He'll probably be on 100k+ if he signs a new contract. Just though it was weird because Smith Rowe is on 40k and Martinelli 90k but they probably signed long term contracts recently.

Speaking of Arsenal wages, I saw this earlier this morning - Arsenal's wage breakdown by player. https://www.the-sun.com/sport/5615307/arsenal-wages-fabio-vieira-bukayo-saka-gabriel-jesus/ Saka on 30k

Started 16 games. Did score that 'goal' against Liverpool in the League Cup final.
