  1. That doesn't happen, or it shouldn't. Clubs are specifically forbidden from replaying contentious incidents. Should be the same at the cricket. Must be a right pain in the arse for an umpire to find out if he's fucked up a LBW decision seconds after he's made it. Either let them use the technology, or remove it from the stadium whatsoever.
  2. We should bekeeping a clean sheet, in all honesty.
  3. http://www.galatasaray.org/images/haber3/01022005_ribery_09.jpg Pushes him close tbh.
  4. No need for a scoreboard/videoscreen. Like others have said, why are you at the match if you don't know the score? And I can wait till Football First/MOTD for highlights. End of.
  5. Can see this being the sort of game where he "beds in" the likes of Caçapa and Enrique, giving them their first start/first full match.

  7. .cock SAM Allardyce believes that there is room for at least one more new signing before the end of August and confirmed that the Magpies have been in talks with Bolton over a move for Abdoulaye Faye. The Senegal star has been heavily linked with a switch to Tyneside in the written press in recent days, and Big Sam confirmed on Thursday that the two clubs had been in negotiation over the transfer of the 29-year-old. And, with Kieron Dyer having completed his move to West Ham, the Toon boss says that the club have to be ready to act quickly should the right player become available. "We have been in talks with Bolton over Abdoulaye Faye but I'm not sure how far along they are," said the former Trotters chief. "There's certainly room for one more and I'll have to speak with the chairman and the owner and take it from there. "If one more came in and no more went out then I'd be happy. "We are looking for more players so we're still going to spend some more money. "Quite how much I'm not sure about and not bothered about because all I'm asking is that when a good player becomes available we don't hesitate. "That could happen at anytime at this stage of the season and we have to be ready should the right player become available."

    Uefa Cup thread

Cue someone posting "I'm glad we're not in it. I hate going to watch us play a bunch of farmers on a freezing Thursday night blah blah blah..."

    Uefa Cup thread

Probably keep the whole competition in one thread, since we're not involved. Blackburn kick off a quallifier at 4. Channel 5.

You are wrong. The only WUMing I did was on he Villa board telling them they'd signed Bramble on a 5 year deal. That's about it. Also, save this for PMs if you have a problem with me.

Embarrassing tbh. Agreed. I'm sick of the cock end 'other team' posters coming on here acting like twats, no need to start threads and acting the same over on their boards, especially since they've shot you down in flames to make it even more embarrassing. Go over and talk football if you must, but lets not resort to their crap. Like there? http://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=92081&start=840 It was a joke tbh.

Bellamy's a great player and Dyer can be handy when playing in a top team as he proved when we finished in the top5 three seasons running, which leave Bowyer who's shite and your hero Parker. We on the other hand have replaced him with Alan Smith who's scored 2 goals in his last 50+ games, at least he gets stuck in though which should keep the Parker fanboys happy.

  15. Chronicle: CARLISLE United will turn to Newcastle United coach Lee Clark if they do not take the League Division One by storm in the next couple of weeks. The Cumbrian outfit shocked football on Monday when they sacked one of Clark’s former United colleagues Neil McDonald after just one game. Carlisle quickly installed McDonald’s assistant Greg Abbott into a caretaker role, but he is under no illusions that he has got to get results at Brunton Park. If not, Carlisle will be looking for a new manager – and Clark will be at the top of their list. As revealed in the Chronicle on July 21, Clark’s former Fulham colleague and boss Chris Coleman is keen to get him across to Spain with a coaching role at Real Sociedad. “Cookie” has his long-time No 2 Steve Kean at his shoulder in San Sebastian and he has promised club officials he will give the rest of his coaching staff a chance. But I understand Coleman is now putting pressure on Clark to join him in Spain. It’s a difficult decision for Clark, who has impressed Graeme Souness, Glenn Roeder and now Sam Allardyce in the way he does his job as United reserve-team coach. And he feels that United can go places under big Sam. But the former United midfielder has made no secret of his desire to take over the hot seat at St James’ Park, and he probably accepts that if he is to achieve this ambition he will have to leave his beloved black-and-whites again and make a success of a managerial job elsewhere.

  17. The League Managers Association five-man Performance of the Week panel, comprising Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, were in agreement that this week, the first week of both the Barclays Premier League and the Coca Cola Football League season, the F&C Investments Performance of the Week Award should go to Newcastle United following their 3-1 win at Bolton Wanderers. Manager Sam Allardyce will receive a specially engraved crystal football in a presentation to be screened on Sky Soccer Saturday this weekend. The new Newcastle manager celebrated his first league game in charge with victory over his former club. Charles N'Zogbia scored the first of three first-half goals, in the 11th minute, with a curling free-kick that eluded everybody. On 21 minutes Obafemi Martins hit a spectacular overhead kick, followed six minutes later by a long-range strike six minutes past Jussi Jaaskelainen as Newcastle led 3-0 at the break. Nicolas Anelka finished a blistering break five minutes after the restart but the Magpies deserved their win. Sam Allardyce was naturally delighted with the result, saying after the game: "It is a great start to the season for me and my players. "The application by the players was terrific and I think that the quality of the finishing was the difference between the two teams. "I'm not sure what level these players are at yet but they are starting to hit a standard I don't want them to drop."
