  1. Aye. Our set pieces in general have improved shit loads.
  2. Two in a minute for Real. Stunning.
  3. Beautiful free kick there by Sneijder.
  4. For me, he always seems to be using his brain to be two steps ahead of the play, which is often just as effective as raw pace.
  5. One of the first names on the team sheet for me. I think he's quality.
  6. Why not Shola? If he is on the pitch, he is our best penalty taker IMO.
  7. No idea. Please tell. To Kirkland, I suppose? He was very good. Guardian, gave it to the other Wigan CB, not Shiteus. The one that fell over to let Owen in on goal
  8. butt was making the forward runs (like when he first came here) geremi and smith were poor, how many balls did geremi play to n,zogbia ? Geremi was excellent today, he was everywhere he covered every position on the pitch and his passing was brilliant, Smith however wasn't but i think the criticism on geremi is harsh, his vision is what we need and with him and Barton in the middle we will be a much more creative side. Butt holds him back because he rarely makes runs he just sits, Barton however does make lots of runs and drives through the defence (not literally) he and geremi are perfect foil for eachother, we will be alot more creative with those 2 in the middle of the park. Disagree, I think Geremi had a decent game but a fair few of his passes were too short and easily intercepted.
  9. Viduka, Geremi, Martins, Owen, Taylor, Barton or Emre probably. Personally, I'd give them to Shola if he was on the pitch. He always seems to smash them beautifully into the corner.

    Steve Harper

Thing that pisses me off regarding Harper is the fact he takes 5 hours over EVER goal kick. Fair enough if we're one nowt up, but when it's 0-0 or 2-2 in the 85th minute and he's dallying around on the ball it does my nut in.

    Steve Harper

Competition for places is healthy, but he's nowhere near first choice for me.
  12. Competing with a big 4's reserve team and youngsters. Well you never know, maybe Wenger will have a change of heart and field his first team which I hope he does. Personally, I hope he fields a shit team that we beat.
  13. Wouldn't have given Geremi an 8, probably a 6. Made a few sloppy passes.

    Other Scores today

Keano, he is a dog, you know? 1738: Roy Keane strides down from his seat in the visiting dug-out to bark some instructions at his Sunderland charges. A brief rendition of the Keano chant again.
  15. Beye had 21 on his shirt today. Faye could well get 12.
  16. Never seen a more 1 sided 1-0 game in my life. We absolutely battered them. Better finishing and a bit of luck and it would have been 5 or 6.
  17. Winnable tbh, if they play their kids team.
