  1. Someone was telling me that their mate send off Barca, Real Madrid, Bayern etc shirts to the respective clubs, with silver marker pens and every single club returned them fully signed.
  2. To me that sounds like he is hoping that there are no more injuries. If N'Zogbia gets injured, we'll see him. AO said today that both Cacapa and Enrique have returned to France and Spain to sort out their personal shit and should be back for the weekend. If they haven't trained, they won't play. Fair do's.
  3. Just to satisfy Greg, i'd pick the above if Jose isn't available.
  4. Sam said: "You won’t see him at Bolton, or at least I hope you won’t" Which, to me, indicated, he wanted to sign another LB this week which has apparently fallen through.
  5. Why do people keeping picking Enrique when Allardyce has said he will not play, the lad is not even in training he is back in Spain. As far as I was aware, he said he hopefully wouldn't have to play, but if needs must, he could.

    "Fatty" Carr

.cock STEPHEN Carr says that he's feeling better than ever following a full pre-season under Sam Allardyce and his new United regime. The 30-year-old full-back is determined to cement his place in the Magpies starting eleven having featured in all but one of the Geordies' six friendly fixtures. And, after a campaign last year disrupted by injury, the Irish international is feeling the benefit of Big Sam's meticulous conditioning methods as he heads into his fourth season at Gallowgate. "I felt not bad last season either until I got injured, but I feel as good as I've ever been now," Stephen told Newcastle World TV in an exclusive interview. "I have got a good few games under my belt and I'm raring to go. "I will do my best and hopefully that's good enough for the manager. "Pre-season has been excellent, probably the best I've known and each individual has had a programme tailored for them. "I've been very impressed and I know all the lads are feeling good going into the new season." Carr has been something of an elder statesman in the Toon backline during pre-season, but says he is more than happy to lend a hand to the younger players. "I had it myself when I was growing up and I think you need help as a young player, especially against opposition of that quality such as Juventus." added the former Spurs star. "It's a great experience for them and a few of them could get a chance this season."
  8. before I take a bow....care to explain whats funny nicholas? It's typical of someone here to think a reserve forward going out on loan is better news than signing someone like Mark Viduka on a free, always trying to be so insightful but you just look stupid See...the point is...I believe that Carroll has massive potential, that will not be fulfilled if he is to stay with the club in the shadow of all the bigger players above him. Look at Ameobi, Ramage, Hughes, etc....players who never went out on season long loans at lower division clubs (or elsewhere for that matter). If there's another Alan Shearer in Andy Carroll, I don't want us paying 15m to "bring him home". Every single one of our summer recruits I am delighted with. There's no doubting that. But then again, I had no doubts we would be signing quality under Sam Allardyce, and that has been my opinion and belief since his appointment. For me, personally, Big Sam coming in has been the best news of the summer for the club, as I believe under his stewardship the club can finally move in the right direction. Carroll's move to Wednesday is yet another shred of evidence that the club is beginning to head that way. I agree it should be good for his development, but I think it was a bit of an exaggeration to say it's the best player news of the summer when we've brought in top quality players which will have a direct impact on our success this season, unlike Carroll going out on loan. So by saying Carroll going out on loan is the second best news of the summer, are you saying you'd choose sending him out on loan over than bringing in any one of our new signings? No not at all. It's not about "choosing" one over the other. Like I said, I knew we would sign quality players when SA was appointed. So technically, happy as I've been with the new players, it wasn't much of a surprise as it was inevitable that a good manager sign good players. Plus, we've been signing quality players on a regular basis. Granted we've been paying over the top for them, and now we're wheeling and dealing and getting value for money, but thats what you get with Big Sam. Loaning out Krul and Carroll has come as a nice surprise, and makes for a good change at last in how we handle our youth players. Mate it's all relative! Im happy Carroll's gone out on loan....so just leave me the fuck alone Fully agree with that.

Looks like Fatty's health is really struggling now he's got Ashleys malooha.
  11. 7th or 8th and Intertoto and i'll be satisfied. 6th would be brilliant.
  12. I think it's high time someone put an end to all the positivity all here! We really need to be careful that we don't get pushed into a false sense of security. Half the lads still barely know each other and the rest are scraps that finished 13th. It will probably take time for them to gel into a team. All the early signs are positive. But we're not Manchester United, we can't just slip a galactico in here and there and still play brilliant football. Big Sam has a long term plan. But the short term aim is simple: European qualification. I just hope people don't turn into the annual angry mob if we lose at Bolton and Boro and fail to beat Villa. All the signs are good, but let's not get carried away.
  13. JOSE Enrique Sanchez says he is excited about continuing his football education under Sam Allardyce after being hugely impressed by his first meeting with the Newcastle United boss. Big Sam has made the Spanish U21 left-back his seventh signing of the summer, arriving on a five-year deal from Villarreal for a fee of 9.3 million Euros. Jose Enrique - who will take the number three shirt at St. James' Park - spoke exclusively to nufc.co.uk after joining the Magpies. He said: "I believe very much in the manager at Newcastle United and I believe they are going to be one of the top teams. "I met Sam for dinner and I was very happy to listen to his plans for Newcastle United. "He treated me very well and he understands me. He knows I have to get used to a lot of new things, like changes in culture and language, but he says he is going to help me adapt to that. NUFC Mobile Wallpapers "He says it will make me stronger and he will have patience with me. I am really happy to here that." Jose Enrique will now get used to life with his new colleagues, but he already knows the capabilities in the squad. He added: "I know that Newcastle already have players with a lot of character and players who are used to winning many things and playing in Europe like Michael Owen, Mark Viduka, Alan Smith and Obafemi Martins. "It will also help me to have people like Nolberto Solano and Albert Luque to speak to. Albert says he is going to take care of me at Newcastle." .cock
  14. Dont think so, Mort has had his hair cut since yesterday, hows that for detective work! Enrique hasn't changed his top though or maybe that was yesterday before or after the match ? That's what I was hinting at.

  16. JOSE Enrique has revealed he was keen to join Newcastle United after getting his first taste of St. James' Park 12 months ago during a summer friendly in Villarreal colours. The Spanish U21 international played the full 90 minutes of a 3-3 draw that most Toon fans will remember for a late headed double by Nicky Butt. And the game certainly left a lasting impression on Jose Enrique, who has joined the Magpies on a five-year contract in a deal worth 9.3 million Euros. The left-back, nicknamed 'The Bull' by Spanish fans for his no-nonsense defending, spoke exclusively to nufc.co.uk after becoming Sam Allardyce's seventh signing of the summer. He said: "Last year I played at St. James' Park in a friendly match and I decided then it was a great place to play. "I would like to thank Newcastle United for showing the faith in me and giving me this chance. NUFC Mobile Wallpapers "It has always been a dream of mine to play in the Premier League. I am still young and I think I can grow up here. "The Premier League is the best in the world and I am looking forward to playing here for Newcastle United. "I think the way I play is suited for the Premier League. I have always thought the English style is like my style." Jose Enrique will wear the number three shirt for the Magpies. He was at St. James' on Sunday watching the 1-0 friendly win over Sampdoria, accompanied by his representative Mariam Kadur and brother Salva, who he thanked for bringing him to Tyneside and helping finalise his transfer. .cock

  18. SAM Allardyce has swooped for his seventh summer signing at Newcastle United by clinching a deal for Jose Enrique Sanchez. The Spanish U21 left-back - nicknamed 'The Bull' by supporters for his combative style - has signed a five-year contract after joining from Villarreal in a deal worth 9.3 million Euros. Jose Enrique will wear the number three shirt for the Magpies. A two-part exclusive interview with Jose Enrique will follow on nufc.co.uk so stay logged on ... He follows Mark Viduka, Joey Barton, David Rozehnal, Geremi, Alan Smith and Claudio Cacapa into Toon ranks ahead of the 2007/08 season. www.nufc.co.uk
