One of the reasons we kept a clean sheet again yesterday, imo. Both offer extra protection on the full-backs, and both track back constantly, and are very rarely guilty of ball watching. Definatly one of the reasons Sam's shifted Nobby back to right wing, as we're essentially playing with two sets of full backs at times, soaking up pressure, and bombing forward of the break ( even Carr has impressed going forward pre-season). Surely the way we're planning to play, away from home, at least. Very dificult to play against.

I like the way we seem to be setting up a side full of players who can play anywhere. RB: Carr, Geremi, Solano, Taylor CB: Roz, Taylor, Cacapa, Drago/Other LB: Enrique, Drago, N'Zogbia RM: Geremi, Solano, Milner, Dyer, Smith CM: Butt, Emre, Barton, Smith, Geremi, Dyer, Solano (been suggested) LM: N'Zogbia, Duff, Luque, Enrique CF: Martins, Viduka, Owen, Ameobi, Smith, Carroll, Luque, Dyer I've never known us have this much cover all over the shop. As you we're still a quality RB and that fourth CB short, other than that we look solid. I've honestly just ejaculated :-[

Honestly, without them these past three home games, the atmosphere would have been unbearable, to people like me anyway, who values a good atmosphere or rather the positive effects it can have. Smith will be delighted with the reception he got from them in particular. All good as far as I'm concerned. I don't sit with the ultras, and I sing You know what I mean, in concentrated numbers and throughout. Surely when the new season starts, they are all going to split up (the ones that have season tickets). I think the atmosphere will be decent next season anyway tbh
