  1. Because Manchester United aren't for sale? And you could buy us and invest 1 Billion in us and it would still all cost less than it would cost to acquire Man United Are Man City considered as "big" a club as Man Utd/Liverpool now? (Honest question). If not the argument would be that they don't get the kudos in the medium term with Newcastle no matter what they do,
  2. The line that came out earlier in the week was that they wound't sell and they didn't think they'd change their mind as the Glazers are raking it in. I still think the leak could be the final roll of the dice for them to get Man Utd. Especially since it came from the Saudi's autobiographer and "both sides are irritated with the leak". Both sides could mean Staveley and Ashley.
  3. I wished they'd said something along the lines: season tickets sales fell substantially this season as fans have lost trust that Ashley really is trying to sell the club. At the start of the season Ashley stated that there has never been a bid on the table with available funds. A section of the fan base believe this and have carried on attending St James' park. If Ashley fails to sell this time we fear for the future of the club. More fans are going to become disillusioned and stop going. More free tickets will be offered to keep up appearances. Long term season ticket holders will stop buying when they know free tickets are available. We could easily spiral out of the league, and god forbid, end in in league 1.
  4. lol true. I think people use the fakeover term broadly. Some people think it is all bullshit and the buyers either don't really exist or are just playing along (hopefully this is a minority of people) others think that its real but Ashley will just not accept anyway. I believe it is real, he will sell but wants to sell and keep his cake.
  5. Pete Graves now acting the twat that he has an update but doesn't want to write it in case it is mis interpreted. Undoubtedly it will be nothing significant.
  6. He doesn't need to spin it. He can say any old shite again and a section of our supporters will believe it and trudge back into SJP for the next home game and then renew their season tickets. Indeed. He will be the man that blew a sale to the Man City owners, blew a deal with these new guys who will end up buying someone else and we will still keep going and grumbling on internet forums.
  7. I honestly cant see how he could reject it, if it's true obviously. But then again it is Mike Ashley. Me neither. I think it would be more likely he chose to sell to someone like Kenyon and keep his hooks in the club.
  8. So lets say he rejects the offer from the trillionaire, a couple billionaires and the lass. I don't see how he can easily spin it. When people see this and realise he will never sell there will be at least a couple hundred more season ticket cancellations.
  9. Pointless speculation you say?! He has not (or maybe has) signed an NDA
  10. this guy published the story Send him a message on signal: https://github.com/bradleyhopeWSJ/contact
  11. Wild speculation... - Saudi's look to buy Man Utd and fail - Staveley approaches them and gets them tentatively on board for US - She negotiates and gets a deal to about 95% (does all the leg work etc) - She just needs the Saudi's to give a go - They still want Man Utd so MBS tells his biographer to leak the deal - if this makes Man Utd sell he buys them, if they still not interested he buys us
  12. https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/competitions/premier-league/11919412/newcastle-takeover-next-few-days-critical (nothing new in there)
  13. B, seems like the perfect combination if they are just buying us to sportswash Saudi.
  14. those two articles conflict as to whether the two days thinking time was agreed before or after the leak.
