He should have been open with the fans about his "vision" at least 12 months ago. He has fucked up royally by hinting we we were doing one thing when in reality we were doing another. He's now feeling the backlash that his web of lies has created.

Ashley was an idiot for working to the deadline, he was told that the deadline was imposed to prevent news getting out which would cause the club problems. Sir John imposed the deadline, not Ashley so whoever told you that is wrong, fact. Sorry if that appears arrogant but it's true. Not getting into a row about the deadline. But if Ashley was willing to buy the club without appropriate due dilligence then he's not fit to run the club and deserves to have his fingers burnt by losing money on NUFC.

the bloke had the right idea in general and had he been in charge in 1994 then maybe scouring the globe and spending £20m a year would have done us right. however this is 2008, when average players like Milner cost £12m. plus we have a piss thin squad with a lot of injury plagued individuals and have to spend some big money just to catch up to our realistic rivals (Pompey, Everton, Citeh, Spurs, Villa). agree that the writing appears to be on the wall for ashley. he can never be "one of the lads" again. it's one thing flogging shll suits to charvers and making a mint but reality will hit home when he has 50000 calling for his head a week on saturday. plus all the other shit he will have been on the end of this week if I was him I'd be selling up and dissapearing back into a low profile money making existence.

The thing that guts me more than anything is that once again the club I love is a fucking laughing stock. Has any club in recent history been at the centre of so many high profile negative stories ? We have become a joke of a club. A club it is genuinely embarassing to be associated with.
