Lets wait until the whole episode is over first and we can say for definite that they were wrong we can say now for definite that they were wrong. yesterday they ran the story as if it was a fact that Keegan had been sacked but covered their arses by saying "our sources say". they talked up replacements, they slagged off Ashley, Keegan etc. They whipped the fans into a frenzy. None of it was based on any factual evidence. It was based on gossip and hearsay. And now they all look like clowns. Whatever way you look at it they jumped the gun and are now desperately trying to save face.

the negative spin surrounding the Keegan story has been unbelieveable. Sky in particular are chomping at the bit for him to leave and refusing to acknowledge any positive side to the situation despite the fact at this stage there is as much chance of him staying as going. Is it really worthy of lead story, headline news on Sky News for 36 hrs solid ? At this moment in time the employment situation of the NUFC manager is deemed more important than: global reccession, war, famine, hurricanes, murder, political upheaval etc etc. Are we genuinely that important in the grand scheme of worldwide news stories ? Do they really need to have a reported camped outside the ground for 48hrs ? If I had my way I would shut down sky tmrw. I think team salary caps are the only logical solution to the current situation going on in football. Implementing it would be very difficult though. In NFL (I've been told) and Aussie Rugby league it has worked but they are leagues that only really exist in one country so players can't head overseas to other leagues and make more money. We'd need a global football salary cap system and that would take years to sort out and implement. Otherwise the money men will keep fucking about with clubs that have been focal points of communities for over a century.

The treatment of the NUFC story y'day just serves to highlight how vindicative, premumptious and manipulative they are. We weren't on form but picked up the 3 points and played some decent football. Jonas again looked a class act, agree with the previous comments that he will have caught the eye of Champs League level clubs with his early performances. Colo looked great too, solid as a rock and good with the ball on the deck. who was the black guy that warmed up for Bolton but never came on ? He was possible the biggest footballer I've ever seen. He looked like Big John Coffee out of Green Mile.

the seating arrangements need sorting out to cope with a sub 50k crowd. last season most of the empty seats seemed to be up in the gallowgate side of level 7 which is the best place to have gaps as it impacts less on the atmosphere and look of the ground. yesterday there were hundreds of empty seats right next to the away fans and a chunks of empty seats right behind the goal in the leazes. this creates an impression that the ground is empty and also affects the atmosphere. they should just get everyone in the singing section to move about 2 blocks to their left, that would soon sort the problem.

with the squad they've got it's unlikely they won't turn things round. However it's nice watching them get off to a shocker after the money they've spent and the expectations they had coming into the season. I enjoy laughing at Tottenham in the way that fans of other teams like laughing at us.
