I work near the training ground and the staff are all wearing green adidas nufc gear, not sure if a pic has been posted but very nice.

Italy have been poor and im not too sure they have much better to come, England beat them fairly comfortably twice in qualifying so theoretically nothing to feat although hard to get excited about it all so far. The combined population of England 4 opponents so far is only about 20 million if that.
-
yeah I think Pearce may have scored too, wore the Blue away shirt

It definitely dilutes the quality, from the 16 team days you could usually make a case for 8-9 potential winners, so more than half the field. That said I favour Wales for tenuous reasons so haven't been bothered much until this edition, although Wales would have qualified anyway in 16 I think. It annoys the OCD in me that you can't do a proper bracket now, and like others have said it makes the qualifying extremely tedious for the top nations. 8 teams was mental France never even qualified to defend title in 88 and in 92 you had Italy, Spain and Belgium all miss out. Watching it back it definitely didn't have the same 'big tournament' feel until expansion in 96, although i'm sure others would disagree.

aye suppose that wording makes more sense. Ox and plough was almost exclusively black and white when I used to drink there years ago. Galleries had kiosk from 91 too before any safc stuff.
-
Washy majority black and white IMO, my old local was virtually all mags, less so when I was at school. Don't venture that way often now but i'd imagine it's only going one way.
-
aye I got XL and its fine, got xxl in castore pro.
-
thought it would be on adidas site too, prices seems reasonable for hoodies etc after castore, only disappointment is lack of long sleeves or pre match. hey are going to stagger everything and milk gullible fools like me.
-
Hoping the ne29 jd sports have them in so I can pop in on work break.
-
Hopefully they do it in long sleeves

Another one for unpopular opinions but find it be try hard to support England atm with so many rule changes etc from fa to spite us. I know it’s petty as not the players faults etc but that’s where I’m at.

Please don’t refer to man united as United on a Newcastle United forum.

I was gutted watching the game yesterday but now we are out of it no choice but try to see the positives. It will definitely drop our chances of winning a trophy by at least half, and we will start the league cup a round earlier, but should help the squad. Beggars can’t be choosers but ideally I’d rather our first trophy win was something more established, although I’m a bit torn on wanting to build up to something good. It feels like we will never win at Wembley and I thought one of the lesser European trophies would be our starting place. I genuinely think if we had of won the league cup last year that would be bigger to us as fans than eventually winning a champions league the way Man City have, where you’ve been knocking on the door so long. Next season needs to be at least as good as 22/23 for me, and needs to be consolidated. It already feels like a huge one like it could be the end of the first phase under new owners, and hopefully it will be a successful one so we keep Howe. The summer won’t have the same buzz for me without a European draw to look forward to but hopefully some exciting signings can change all that.

They were favourites?

just tried to add 84 retro shirt to order with some castore tat and its saying it can't ship to UK address, wonder if its due to error or licensing issue. edit, doing it with castore stuff too so must be problem, managed to get it to work eventually without retro shirt.
-
Remaining sized shirts from £10 now on club shop, £8.50 with code and not much more for pro versions, plus £5 for personalisation.

According to wiki West Ham are now in the top 20 of coefficient teams now, which will be largely due to last season, so there’s definite merit in this.
-
I think thats right and would make what someone has said above is correct about qualifying positions etc. The only reason I think there's less games is nobody starts in thr group stage, unlike the other two competitions, every team making it to the group stage would have played a qualifier of some description.
-
think we would be ok, villa and west ham were seeded and got hibs and viborg respectively, spurs were also seeded a few years back as you'd imagine given they're in europe loads more and got pacos ferreira
-
Not that easy for everyone, people who work before the game or have young family in my case. I was in plenty early Saturday as I walked up at about 25 past 2.
-
Don’t know if it’s been mentioned but sorting out the queues to get in would help facilitate a better atmosphere. Would also get people spending more in the ground as I’m averaging around 15 mins to get in this season.
-
Yeah but we’re long associated with them, same for man united. Was generally top clubs. I know Burnley and Stockport ended up with them not long after us.
-
Think that was maybe season after. Certainly rarer before the teamware template’s were rolled out.
-
It was fairly prestigious to have adidas then only Liverpool, arsenal and rangers seemed to have them in uk so quite exotic too.

Just seen there are no retro shirts on the official store now. Hoping this paves the way for a few official adidas ones.
