Regardless of who goes up it will be nice having any away games closer to Manchester.
  2. Bit samey that, the usual fashion is to mix it up a bit, granted thats limited with stripes. Used to seem to jump from a seeming more black home to a white home in the old adidas days.

I went to school in Washington and we had a school trip to roker park in 1992, wore my barcode too for it. Don Goodman had just signed for them and they gave the school free tickets for his debut v Southend I thinks

That’s crazy. Whenever I see someone in a red and white top in North Shields I’m genuinely shocked and end up looking for some sort of mental defect.
  5. Yeah there was a factory in Stockport I believe which was linked to them being made by adidas which was fairly rare in the uk back then, particularly for a smaller team.
  6. Robson took over in early September though, Howe in November I think so we were much more in the mire, with a much worse squad. Agree about Keegan.
  7. In a previous life I worked at toffs and they had an agreement to use a retro brown ale logo on a 1927 shirt, was especially popular in the USA. just seen the 96/97 training gear in the background of some of the promo shots, hopefully they’ll be next off the the converter belt. The three t shirts in particular were class.
  8. yeah bit like the England 1990 third in that respect, was only ever worn once in a qualifier in Turkey but undoubtedly one of the most iconic and expensive shorts largely down to the new order video and the fact its lush.
  9. Large I'd say, based on general adidas having not seen this in flesh.
  10. only ever wore it 5 times, Sheff Wed, Bolton, Spurs, So'ton and Stoke I think, wasn't worn into second half of season. So no you're quite correct.
  11. We are knocking on the door. When we blew the league I just thought we will win it next season, to be fair I was only 13. When I went to Wembley in 98 I wasn’t all that gutted as first time at a final, thought the chances would come round again quickly and it did, was more gutted year after due to opposition and probably worse performance. By the time of the Chelsea and Man U semis I was already soured, and 23 was also hideous. But if I look objectively we surely are going to win one soon and I’d wager being there for that would eclipse something bigger down the road.
  12. Winning in a second season would be considered a bare minimum at Celtic to be fair, not sure about the other clubs positions in food chain but when i lived in oz Melbourne victory were one of the ‘bigger’ sides although it seemed a lot more random then. Just checked and second semi for spurs is day after ours so it will be interesting waiting to see who we’ve got, provided we don’t blow a two goal away lead which I believe nobody has done in over 35 years.
  13. An odious entitled fan base, bruv.
  14. I’m wondering for trains when all the non tickets travellers booked last time, surely that was when it was confirmed and that will just bump everything, providing people do the same again.
  15. This is a tricky one to tell original from fakes on, the a on the brown ale is the biggest tell normally.
  16. Not an official one as per the original though?
  17. true but Arsenal won nothing in Europe. I've always been of the opinion that English teams doing better only helps them really and makes it harder for us to catch them, the recent extra CL place could potentially swing it a bit. Even then I could never cheer for Man United or Liverpool, probably Chelsea too.
  18. yeah and France have won the lot with no european trophies since a dodgy one in 93, thus disproving that theory.
  19. Must have passed me by
  20. It’s weird Pickford has never been strongly linked with say Man U or spurs. Maybe a relegation would force his hand but seems happy enough to plod along at Everton, then look good every two years in an international tournament. I’d take him for the fume alone.
  21. Genuinely can’t understand why any Newcastle fan would be gutted at a man united loss
  22. They are snides but but great shirts, I've got the original for the pink and its more muted, only ever worn against us of course, bizarrely in Cesena I think!
  23. I always thought the sponsor was an iron as a kid, only in later years did I realise it was a media company.
  24. I left mine blank as had been burned from Cole on the ASICS one.
  25. The Man United lace up was fairly iconic, first premier league title in it and big collar for Cantona, the last Arsenal one at Highbury was fairly iconic, as was the flecked Candy Liverpool top.
