  1. Wales fucked unless they can get a home draw for final if thats possible.
  2. England typically get a central american tam and often North African, since 2006 its been T and T, USA twice, Costa Rica and Panama. Since 86 Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia x 2 and Algeria.
  3. Yeah and they’re still pm about doing placeholder pots so Italy would be in two etc.
  4. It’s practically impossible for a group of death now.
  5. Hope as many of the home nations can qualify in the play offs, would like Italy to be there as well though. Bolivia and Suriname from the play offs.
  6. Jordan is no stranger to being pumped. Jamaica and Suriname the last two in that mad tournament. This is going to play havoc with the panini album, will cost about a grand to complete.
  7. Denmark was weird as didnt even qualify, Portugal had been knocking on the door for years and blew their own one in 2004. Regaularly in semis etc so not really that big a surprise.
  8. Channel 5 used to show highlights in the early- mid 00's, I used to love it, I remember Aguero playing aged 15 and it was obvious he would be a star.
  9. So obvious yet i'd never realised, cue Oz type reaction 'you mean to tell me im half German'
  10. Yeah will have an away semi against Italy, Turkey and whoever else is in top pot.

I think I only went early in the morning hence missing out!
  12. Top two third places go into mad 6 team tournament with Bolivia, New Caledonia, and the last African and Asian teams (dr Congo/nigeria and uae/iraq) for last two spots.
  13. Haiti, Suriname and curaçao in pole position! Potentially three Dutch teams at the World Cup then.

Mackems form was terrible going into last derby too, even if they had stared this season shit and we had started well it would still be much tougher this time.

I remember queuing up outside Thomson house for the chronicle giveaway for Euro 96 tickets, was waiting ages and got as far as ristorante roma before they all went, was way more than an NUFC ticket at the time for under 16s and my dad was probably working so a non starter. Bulgaria - Romania was 19k, hardly any away travellers back then from those countries. West Road alone could probably add more romanians on the gate now!

Is that not just an urban myth? We won them all under Keegan when we were flying for example, Spurs have been dominated by Arsenal the last few years, City got some hidings off Man United in the 90s too.

Part of me thinks this due to the 'arcadey' nature of football, the footballing gods have helped them catch up a bit, they were always going to come back up one day and had some good fortune. Our success seems to have been good for them and galvanised them a bit, its also gave them something to aim for rather than just scrape survival every season. Its also inevitable if they establish themselves and have a decent run in the premier league they will beat us at least once and they will surely never get a better chance then next month unless form changes quickly.
  19. I think so seems to be on all the new ones.
  20. Just realised we could quite easily have 6 home games in January, already four with a chance of fa cup if home and league cup semi if we get through and are drawn at home first.
  21. It’s an American football style cash in.

They have Man City and Liverpool before the derby, we have spurs and Burnley home. May give us a better lead in form wise but it’s going to be hard.
  23. Just seen score draw have released a range of the ASICS keeper tops for Villa which were the same design as ours, but weirdly in short sleeve. Hopefully we get something too as an easy win with asics patch.

Clough scored most of his goals in the second division, although granted his career was cut short by injury.
