No one in the squad touches him when it comes to being dynamic while running with/carrying the ball. Maybe Isak, but that’s not really where we want him most of the time.

He’s very much a plan B option and I think they’ll be hoping his injury concerns are a past problem now. And if he’s cool with coming here just to be a true second striker where he won’t be starting but be coming on for the last 20 for most of the season, then I think it’s not terrible business. The whole Howe effect and all.

I think this is a big part of this equation. Much like Gordon/Hall/Tino/etc. If a good deal is there to be had on a target we’re going to jump on it regardless of if it’s an immediate need or not.
