I don’t like corruption conspiracy theories but the protection they get from officials is very, very suspicious. 😁 I think the impact (or lack) of those three factors will largely decide the outcome. Let’s not forget, in our three losses to them since we absolutely battered them at VP, they’ve had extremely large slices of luck in two of them - Mings going off and an uncharacteristic mistake from Konsa in the 5-1, then the absolute joke of a decision to send Duran off earlier this season. There’s a pretty good argument that we were on top in both beforehand. I think we’ll have a pretty good idea of how it’s going to go within the first 20 minutes. I couldn’t possibly predict a score but am naturally fearing the worst. I’m not usually invested enough in football to actively hate anything but I make an exception for this lot and how they’ve shamelessly embraced and even celebrated their owners who are literally complicit in committing and then attempting to cover up, murder. Most sensible post over at Villa Talk ”This will be an interesting game for me, with contrasting playing styles up against each other. We are both among the best sides in the country right now, with their defence edging it for me. I don't think current form is the main issue here, its playing style for me. Their Pace, Power and physicality, will be a huge test for us. Newcastle do seem to me , to be our Kryptonite. If we can manage to bring our second half performance from midweek, anything can happen. If we give them the space to thrive, like we did in the first half against PSG or previous games with them, it will be the repeat performances of recent times. I have no idea, what we will bring....but it should be very interesting. I am not saying park the bus, but we cannot be too open either, give them space and we are toast....I also think if we lose the ball too easily in our attacks, their counters could be costly”
