  1. Going into this on the back of a great home win with debutants playing well, and a manager that will set us up to try and win. Happy daze indeed! Can’t call this, we may smash and grab a win
  2. Yeah they are so rattled by us. It’s delicious. I hope we reap vengeance at our place! Here’s 1 more very balanced view. Refreshing to read.
  3. The Andersen talk has been bubbling away in the back ground. Think this still has legs.
  4. I love him too. Chiesa can play RW. Not a bad one to have on the bench. Loan to buy.
  5. I think they’ll address RCH and possibly RW before window slams shut.
  6. Add that name to the already strong bench
  7. They’re in denail. What with the Saudi backing and an outstanding English manager combined, it is the thing of their nightmares because he can actually make good with less. We are here, right now. We are coming for them and there is nothing that they can do about it. It’s only a matter of time. Possibly sooner than we all thought, but there is something quite fucking magical happening at Newcastle for those with eyes to see and ears to hear. It happen.
  8. Newcastle has the best tools in the league to win over City in a game I think In fact... as of now I'd argue Newcastle play "the Liverpool way" better than Liverpool themselves There are some top teams in Europe that won't fancy going to St James' Park This is the sort of marker I wanted us to lay down. An absolutely impressive showing from Newcastle.
  9. It sounds like an Italian footballer expressing gratitude after a significant game, possibly his debut or after scoring a pivotal goal. The positivity and gratitude in his words highlight the importance of fans' support and the impact of the atmosphere in the stadium on players' performance and morale. It's always heartwarming to see players acknowledging fans and sharing their joy with them.
  10. Football Italia ?? Italy international Sandro Tonali admits ‘it is one thing to dream and another to experience’ the perfect Newcastle United debut, scoring in the Premier League. The midfielder made the move to St. James Park for €70m including add-ons from Milan and he took just six minutes to make his mark in the season opener against Aston Villa. “It was wonderful, the first real game,” Tonali told Sky Sport Italia. “I let myself go, we really enjoyed ourselves, especially as the game went so well, just as we had prepared it. It was impossible not to enjoy today.” Newcastle United emerged 5-1 winners this evening and Tonali also had a hand in some of the other goals, as well as forcing a tough save from close range. Was the Premier League debut the way he had dreamed of it? “Yes, but it is one thing to dream and another to experience it. Reality is different. I am happy with how it went, now I will go home, relax and rest, then I might realise what happened.” Tonali’s former Milan teammates were paying attention too and sent him many messages. “We are always in contact, as before being teammates, they are also friends. I wish them all the best for next week.” The Newcastle United fans were already singing Tonali’s song – complete with Italian stereotypes – even before he scored the goal. “It is a very different reality to Milan and everything has to change, even yourself to a degree. You don’t do the same things you did before, you don’t meet up with the same friends that you had. “It’s a very different lifestyle, but I will always be professional. I felt the warmth of the fans, they were cheering me on from the start. Speaking to the coach after the match, I realised how happy he was and how much he likes me.” Tonali has already won over the doubters who were concerned that his style might not fit in with the Premier League or Newcastle United, reiterating that he always considered himself more Gennaro Gattuso than Andrea Pirlo.
  11. “You can’t always get what you want But if you try sometime you’ll find You get what you need”
  12. “It was a tough decision between him [Tonali] and Sean [Longstaff] but in the end it was based on fitness really,” said Howe. “Sean had missed a lot of pre-season with a niggly injury and Sandro completed all of pre-season. So basing it on that and how well Sandro had done in pre-season that’s why I made the decision. “And I thought he was magnificent for us. The goal helped, it builds confidence. It certainly looked at home in the midfield. I thought his style was really effective for us today. He’s an incredible technician, very good technically off both feet. Great to see him score and in the box in that moment.” Howe told reporters how he had fallen in love with the 23-year-old after watching him at AC Milan last season. “We pursued him for a long, long time and paid a big fee for him because I fell in love watching him play a game last year,” Howe added. “He is an outstanding talent, he can do a little bit of everything. Very similar to our other midfielders, he’s got a combination of a lot of attributes that will suit the Premier League. “This is one game, I don’t want to go over the top and put more pressure on him but it’s a very good start and I’m just pleased he looked confident in the shirt and the fans have certainly taken to him, which is great to see.”
