From what I gather, the story is pretty much this: When Shola came on, he told Cabaye to push up into a position just behind Ba, ie. it was instructions to attack. When Gosling came on though, Cabaye was then pretty much told to hang back and let Gosling play in an advanced role. Yohan was understandably unimpressed. Nothing major to worry about imo. According to the reports in the local rags Cabaye was playing in 5 different positions at various points yesterday. Probably exaggeration but he probably didn't know whether he was coming or going by the time 90 mins were up. I just hope the players aren't losing confidence in the manager's football philosophy - whatever it is. Looked like he played in a advanced role to the left, in stead of in the hole were he should play for a more broad specter of distribution. He didn't link up with HBA as much as he should be doing. He'll be back in the middle with Tiote when Ryan Taylor is back. Which hasn't worked for a good while. Guthrie looks more suited to that role.

For me: Tiote, Steven Taylor and Marveaux (Would play Jonas at full back) For Pards: Probably Tiote, Steven Taylor and Ryan Taylor (the fantastic player).

Ben Arfa should've come off, imo: looked knackered and clueless. Guthrie was shot, as well. And Shola has bright in his sub appearances. Subs are about the only things Pardew actually got right. Well, I think you should keep your biggest threat on the pitch. His presence causes chaos, especially when he carries the ball. I realize it's a bit much at times, but he's able to score out of the blue.

Horrible 2nd half, and predictable as fuck. I can't believe Pardew closed the shop AGAIN. After he actually put out a positive line up which created some movement. Ben Arfa off again, probably wont start the next game. Bullshit. Cissé off, why? Shola did ok, fair enough but no need to take Cissé off. Perch and Guthrie carried the team. Norwich looked a very average team with no real threat, but because we sat back like dicks again they thrived on it. You don't say. Also, Williamson should be 4th choice at the very best next season, and Simpson likewise.

Not even our record, actually. We got 86% once in the CL against Panathinaikos. Anyway, didn't want to hijack the thread. What I found peculiar about the PL table is that NUFC is the only team in an European spot with an average possession below 50% (not by much, granted). Well, I'm not surprised at our possession stats. And of course possession based football with the right set of players will get you results in the long haul. Pardew must be the only one not seeing it. I realize we deserve to be where we are though, you can't really argue that after 28 games. But with our current style of play it's a question of time before we start free falling down the table.

I just dont get why we are fighting for our lives. We are safe from relegation and CL is way beyond us. Why arent we enjoying our season instead of being scared shitless from being 6th?
