He did absolutely fine today. Yep. Just loved the way he took it on his chest, let it fall to his feet and then sprayed a nice pass to a red and white shirt. Absolute class from this complete waste of space. Shola did more than any other of our players in the 2nd half. That says a lot about our 2nd half, because he didn't do that much. Still, not the man to rip apart today, at all.

We have virtually no goals in the midfield or the defence and Nolan aside that's been a problem for a while. Ben Arfa our joint 2nd top goalscorer now depsite only playing a 1/4 of games this season. To think somehow Ryan Taylor and Obertan were ahead of him.... That says it all, like. It's some seriously sad stuff.

Totally agree. I don't see why Santon gets ripped apart, when there are players who did much worse.

Nothing wrong with hoofing it? We didn't touch the ball in the 2nd half. Ben Arfa made a disappearing act, Cabaye made a shit act, and Ba got fucking climbed on by Koscielny and couldn't do shit. Shola was the main man in the 2nd half due to his physics. That's the sad bit. And I think Jonas is the one that gets away with murder here, not Santon. He runs for 90 minutes but what does he do? Fair enough for a couple of defensive involvements, but my word what an ultra predictable player he's become. And Pardew should be criticizing himself for the 2nd half tactics, although I agree with him on the 5 minutes of added time. Infuriating.

I genuinely didn't think Santon did that bad. Williamson was miles worse. So slow and useless technically. Tiote and Cabaye were bad as well. People get on Ben Arfa's back for possession loss. Well, Tiote lost the ball quite a few times in crucial areas, and Cabaye had so many missed passes. Awful game from him, and I'm sitting here in a Cabaye shirt.

Perch was infinitely better defensively. Nah, got raped by Walcott on numerous occasions. Thought Santon did well. And for his offensive contributions alone he should stay on the pitch. The hoofball and protecting the 1 point obviously didn't work. You don't fucking say.

And why was Santon taken off? He actually tried to run forward with the ball. Fucking Pardew. I hate this.

Cissé should never be dropped for this. He deserves at least 10 starts before anyone suggests otherwise. Look at f***ing Obertan and his crazy run of starts.
