Milan fans tend to overrate their players and the quality of their league, I’ve found. Just as an example; Tomori, while good, isn’t world class like they say he is. That being said 55m (which is what most non-Italian media are quoting) seems like a very fair price for a player of his quality and profile.

He’ll end up playing first-team at a mid-table team after a year or so in the Championship then. Good luck to him.

That Everton volley is annoying as it shows he has the ability to strike a ball cleanly; maybe it’s a mental thing as he keeps scooping it when in on goal. If he puts together his on-loan goal scoring form with his performances this season he’ll be a 50m+ player imo.

Nelson would be quite an astute signing imo; he’s the kind of player that needs a run of games and good coaching but once it “ clicks” he could genuinely be something special. He’s got so much going for him. I do think though that signing a Nelson doesn’t exactly send the message that we’re really going for it. Seems like FFP is really hampering us otherwise we’d be trying for a more ready-made, world class winger.

Left wing is fairly stacked tbf. You’ve got Isak, ASM, Joelinton, Gordon and even Anderson or Murphy could be called upon if necessary.

I hate this take, if he was Italian, Dutch or whatever he’d get way less hate; of course English tax is a thing but being proven in by far the best league in the world comes with a hefty price-tag. He’s a very good player and is very versatile tactically.

For anyone who didn’t want Maddison due to him apparently preferring Spurs; Big Dom- according to a German journalist- says he would choose Liverpool over Newcastle after talks with his representatives.

Others seem to disagree so I’ll concede I’m probably wrong about how he plays . The times I’ve seen him he’s just looked like a fast, one footed winger that cuts in from the right. Still stand by what I said about him not having the creativity or class we need in that position though, although -as others have pointed out- he’s seemingly not an out and out winger.

He’s a headless chicken type pacy winger with a high work rate. Kinda similar; but my point was he’s not got that nous/creativity/vision or whatever that we’re desperately lacking in the final third.

I’m sure there’s a lot to work with there tbf; I’d just prefer someone with a bit more nous and intelligence to their game. We already have Almiron and Murphy who are similar in play-style to him.

Fair enough. Whenever I’ve seen him he hasn’t stood out; pacy wingers with poor decision-making, end product and a lack of footballing brain are ten a penny these days. He wouldn’t represent a significant upgrade on Almiron for me.

He’s also painfully average in a weak league where talents don’t always work out in the PL.
