ESPN does not usually report on transfers without there being something in it, so I think that Gulacsi link is credible. Whether we get him or not is a different matter.
-
If we're so desperate for money and there's a queue to take him on loan, I hope we can pull in a decent loan fee.
-
Can't be bothered to look but how much football has he actually played in that time? This could be a misconception but it seems like every time he's gotten a run in the Arsenal side he ends up injured. I'd still take him in a heartbeat by the way.
-
Any reason why? Probably because there's a decent chance Gibbs would miss half the season.
-
As soon as the broadcasters balk at the costs Google, Facebook, Amazon, Apple, and Netflix and others will be stepping up and competing . The domestic rights may decrease or go flat at some point, but the global rights will pick up the slack. It seems impossible prices will continue to rise at this rate but, unless you think millions of people around the world are gong to suddenly lose interest in the Premier League, this is likely the new normal for the foreseeable future*. * barring a global economic recession, tech bubble bursting, advertising dollars vanishing, etc

Honestly it's a miracle we're able to sign anyone considering a 16 year old prospect is going for almost half of our record transfer fee.
-
Looks like a partially Spanish Ryan Taylor to me.
-
Anyone who thinks that's perfectly fine is building really shitty websites.

I'm holding out hope that that's why we're seemingly scraping the barrel / haggling over seemingly insignificant amounts. Get most of the squad sorted and then make a couple big purchases to finish it out. I realize this would seem a bit backwards but need something positive to hold onto.
-
And not one of them I would be confident of pushing us forward at prem level. This is probably why, if reports are to be believed, that we're interested in a number of loans. We can't afford to overhaul the entire squad with the players Rafa would ideally want. If we can fill some spots with loans we could apply more of our budget to other areas and also not be stuck next season with some players we need to shift.

Gouffran is here Joking aside, very good news. Need to find more random clubs to take our problems.

Think that's bollocks personally, Pardew has been rumbled, even Ashley wouldn't touch him now. I don't think Ashley would care mate. He'd care about relegation and the plummeting value of the squad that we were headed towards last time Pardew was here. This is the part that makes no sense. I thought he'd fuck around in January or next summer when Rafa was wanting to take another step forward, which Ashley would likely have little appetite for. I don't understand why he'd do it now before we've consolidated our place in the league. Surely he must realize we'd be in shambles without Rafa?
-
That would require us to have players another club would be interested in.
-
As plausible as anything else and would actually explain a lot.
-
Maybe it wasn't McClaren. I just remember a period of time where he was first with every story and everything was true.
-
Not saying he's wrong in this case, but wasn't Hope well connected to the McClaren regime? I thought he lost his main source when Rafa came in.
-
Yes please. To what? Both of them. Navas on a free would be low risk even if we had to double the wages Sevilla offered him and I think Hart would be a solid keeper for us, as well as provide some much needed leadership.
-
Yes please.

Really? You might be right but I'lm expecting an outlay of £70-80m plus a loan or two and a stray freebie. This won't be the net spend, but I am expecting this level of investment by September. Think I'm setting myself up for a fall? We'll be falling together - I'm expecting something similar and I think we will break our transfer record. I think it's just been slow so far, which is frustrating given how much we need to do and the fact that we have a good chance to start strongly with our fixtures (Spurs aside).
-
There's a decent chance he'll miss half the season, but if healthy I think Gibbs is a really good signing for us.
-
Got surprisingly big pockets in that white shirt and jeans combo. No wonder we cant get any transfers done with so many fckimg phones. Has he been selling crack on the streets of Baltimore?!?!?
-
We could use all of them and we'd still be woefully short in the midfield.
-
Has to be Lejeune.
-
Doesn't he have a release clause anyway? Yeah, but it would be in Euro's. It's just ridiculous with the financial advantage Premier League clubs have right now.
