I think we'll start slow but also think he'll improve us given a bit of time. I really like hearing what he has to say. He comes across so much more professional than anything we've had under Ashley, and I'm desparate for him to do well if only to kill the apathy that's taken over my following of the club.

I hate Ashley and it would take years for my opinion of him to change. That doesn't stop me from being excited for Sunday. New manager who's an upgrade and a decent human being, new staff, a few new players (not enough admittedly) - I'm hopeful we're going to see much better football as the season progresses and better results too. I think Wijnaldum, De Jong, and Mitrovic will all have leadership qualities about them. Mitrovic in a bit of a different way. It might take a little while for it to come through for them though.

Losing Schneiderlin is a big blow for them. We should have a lot more success playing through that midfield. I thought Soares and Clasie would be starting for them. Maybe Long?
