Is he really going to be our captain? Can't be, right?

The bubble will only burst if something happens that causes the value of live sporting events to decrease. Right now it's at an all-time high globally with no signs of slowing down. In the US, NBC paid $250m for three years of Premier League rights and this upcoming season is year three. At the very least NBC, ESPN, and Fox will be bidding for the next cycle and the PL has said they will accept both three-year and six-year bids but will only sign a six-year deal that blows them away. If it's a three year deal I expect it will be at least double what NBC paid just two years ago. A six-year deal they might go for would probably be in the $1.2-1.5 billion range. The amount of money Premier League clubs have is only going up for the foreseeable future.

If it's just your 5th one then go Aarons, cheap and could turn out to be a real value pick. I went for De Jong but I'm having second thoughts. Money doesn't matter in this league. I'm very torn.
-
In the middle of a fantasy draft. Any opinions on De Jong vs. Aarons? Would be my 5th midfielder. Not too many players left and feel like being a homer.

Maybe, just maybe some people have seen what he's done at previous clubs and have taken that into account. And maybe, just maybe, those same people only focus on the negatives. He's accomplished far more in this game than any manager we've had since Keegan. He deserves a chance.

If this isn't his first team, which it better not be, then I would have much preferred to see him play the second team/reserves against York and lineup full strength for at least a half today. Maybe he's hoping to surprise Southampton.

Sounds a definite upgrade on Gouffran/Obertan. Sign him up.

This is hilarious. Oral history of the first season of MLS. http://www.si.com/longform/2015/mls/index.html

God I hope that's true. Tapatalk only previewing the first post in a thread is torture... http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/26/e3ae29dee35fa2f7f24d823fcc0401bc.jpg

Urgh no thanks. You'd not have him ahead of Carrick to sit deep and spray the ball about, assuming McLaren might want Carrick for this? I'd have neither personally. No chance.
-
Really is ridiculous. This is probably the most proactive communication we've gotten from the club in the Ashley era, so I suppose that's something.
-
Based on Man Utd's signings this summer it seems like we made an opportunistic approach. Can't really fault that. Would happily take Carrick as long as we didn't hand out one of our 5 year deals.

Signed a new deal in May, so unlikely unless he's going to Delph it.
-
I'd be stunned if Ryder's 'exciting' prospect was not already playing in the Premier League. Since he was so fucking vague though he could claim it was any future signing or link. What a dick he is.

Better than Ferdinand, Ginola, Albert..................................barton. That was an eternity ago. Another lifetime and a different football club.
-
I wish I could hide this thread from the board. Zero interest in discussing this vile man.
-
The fact he played on the turf last night is encouraging. The coaching staff must be pretty confident his injury troubles are behind him. His footwork is pure class. Love watching him play.
-
A half season loan would not excite me in the slightest, unless it was for Messi. It's probably that kid we're trying to steal from Man Utd. Fucking Ryder.

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/newcastles-policy-patience-paying-could-9685752?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Amazing. Honestly, no self respecting journalist would put something like that out there. How did we get stuck with this fucking imbecile?
