    MLS

Another good win for the Red Bulls. Two from Henry and an excellent goal by Agudelo. You can see it here: "Agudelo shows his class" - http://www.mlssoccer.com/matchcenter/2011-04-21-dc-united-v-new-york-red-bulls
  2. On the normal table it's correct. It's only the live table that's wrong. Henry has two tonight in the first half, so no more.
  3. I can confirm that the shirt Fugazi just posted are the new Arsenal away shirt. Anyone have this photo?

  5. Baseball isn't the best comparison because there are 81 home games per season, although the prices are still high in the major markets. It's pretty crazy how much it costs to go to a Yankee game. I used to go to 10+ games a season. Down to 1 or 2 now and it's usually with free tickets. I was fortunate enough to get free tickets two nights ago in the field level ($325 face value per ticket). Still paid $35 to park (obscene), and $45 on two beers, cracker jacks, and an italian hot dog inside the stadium. When you add gas/tolls it cost almost $100 for two of us to attend the game with free tickets. The four idiots next to us spent over $500 on beer during the game on a corporate credit card. That's who can afford to attend sporting events on a regular basis. I know it's a lot cheaper in Pittsburgh and places like that, but Chelsea/London is not Pittsburgh. The PL is more comparable to the NFL - games once a week generally on the weekend. The difference being that the PL season is twice as long. Last season the cheapest season tickets for the New York Giants game were $85 plus you had to pay $1000 up front for a PSL. Just wait until an American owner brings PSL's to the Premier League. You haven't seen anything yet.
  6. I've wanted them to disappear for a few years now. Can't stand them.
  7. Expensive but certainly not outrageous when compared to American sports, which is the model the PL is drifting towards.
  8. Take a look at a baseball schedule some time.
  9. If it looks anything like that I'll be ecstatic. BEN ARFA 10

    Vuckic

Based on the limited appearances I've seen, I agree. I know he's young, but I can't get over how slow he's looked when I've seen him. He has a long way to go and if he keeps getting hurt then he's never going to live up to any exceptions. I know it's annoying when people write off young players at an early stage (I'm not doing this with Vuckic btw), but it's equally annoying when people make excuse after excuse for these kids. It's ok that some of them aren't as good as anticipated. Disappointing sure, but more miss than make it. That's why stockpiling them is more important than trying to pick out single studs. Sorry for the tangent - I'm bored.
  11. My eyes are tearing and my head hurts from laughing so hard at the Berbatov gif. Holy shit.
  12. Hopefully they add a Europa League spot for whoever tops the Financial Fair Play table. We'll be in every year at the rate we're going.
  13. I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that he's gone. Just hope he goes to Spain (or anywhere but Liverpool).
  14. Spent far too much time yelling at the referee and trying to initiate contact/draw a foul. Just play the game. Probably not a popular opinion, but I don't think he's been nearly as good the last couple months as he was in the first half of the season. Still has some wonderful moments, but gives the ball away a lot more and he's overhitting a lot of his long passes.
  15. Why's that exactly? His mannerisms, his complaining, his goal celebrations, the fact he plays and scores for the mackems. Really just can't stand him. Need I go on?
  16. Gyan is one of the most unlikable players in the league.
  17. Yes, just a replay. Matches that are live on FSC are only available on delay on foxsoccer.tv. Rights issues I believe. It's live tomorrow at 11am EST.
  18. As if I needed another reason to hate them.
  19. Needs a in the middle and then I'm sold.
  20. They did a four team event at RBA last summer called the Barclay's New York Challenge with Spurs, Man City, Sporting Lisbon and Red Bulls. Each team played two games - the PL clubs did not face each other. It also turned out to be Henry's debut. Everton and Newcastle are in the area, Red Bulls are free, just need one more to make it happen again. Could even shorten it to a single doubleheader with Everton/Newcastle v. Red Bulls and the other vs. ? Would love this. (By the way, I'm just making shit up that I hope happens)
