  1. In your article it says the MLS all-star game rules out a midweek visit to RBA, but they already have a midweek game (Columbus). That Saturday at RBA is looking better and better.
  2. I know, but they just changed managers and lost twice last week at home. Only won 1 in their last 8. Not looking good at the moment, unfortunately.
  3. Not looking too good for Rotherham, but they will almost certainly be playing Chesterfield next season. Unreal.
  4. I wouldn't call Blackpool "tough." They've won one game since January and haven't kept a clean sheet in 2011.
  5. Can you place a similar call to the Red Bulls and ask about July 30?
  6. Vancouver and LA make no sense geographically. I'm feeling optimistic again for east coast!
  7. Damn, I thought everyone was playing that weekend. Chicago on July 23 would make a lot of sense geographically. Still holding out hope...
  8. Hatem Ben Arfa in New Jersey Full on stalking of the team will occur if they are in my state.
  9. My heart is pounding at the thought of this. Please fucking happen.
  10. (I'm laughing at your geography knowledge and ensuing rant - not that you can't go)
  11. Awesome!!! Thanks for the heads up. Now just keep coming east on the way back home. There is a nice opening in the Red Bulls schedule after the All-Star game.
  12. It's amazing that a Premier League player and Argentine international doesn't know how to kick a football. How is that even possible?
  13. Been the topic for two pages. Thanks!
  14. It really is quite amazing how much is kept secret. One thing that drives me nuts is guessing how much a player is being paid. In American sports you know everything when the deal is signed. Here is the contract information for Alex Rodriguez: You can get something similar for pretty much every MLB player.
  15. It doesn't mention reducing capacity, not sure where people got that from. It talks about making 5,000 seats obstructed view, which would be stupid in its own right. Obstructed views were one of the biggest knocks against old stadiums/arenas for all sports. Would be silly to create this problem. Looking at this from an American point of view though, it's ridiculous that a world class stadium doesn't have a video board or scoreboard.
  16. More announcements please! Edit: http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20110329/united-confirm-kansas-friendly_2281670_2326524 The quotes from Pardew make it sound like this could be it.
  17. Congrats! I got married last summer on July 23. I'm not sure how the wife will feel about a trip to see Newcastle on our first anniversary, so hopefully they don't play that day for both of us.
  18. Man Utd's Summer 2011 tour is as follows: 7/13 vs. New England at Gillette Stadium 7/20 vs. Seattle at Qwest Field 7/23 vs. Chicago at Soldier Field 7/27 vs. MLS All-Stars at Red Bull Arena 7/30 vs. Barcelona in DC I would be ok with Columbus. That's under a 9 hour drive for me compared to 19 for Kansas City.
  19. If they play in NY/NJ/Philly then I may drop dead from excitement.
