If the money works I'd be in full support of Miggy as a super sub. He could be very useful and I don't think he'd kick up a fuss. But then surely we'd look to sell Murphy to a promoted or Championship team?
-
The location is somehow the most believable part of that because there's no chance we're getting £200m/year and we're not going to spend £2b on a new stadium.
-
Where that video cuts off is robbing us of a great Murphy in swim cap emoji.

I think boring would be applied to anyone who meets the following criteria: - in the PL for a long time - not a superstar - over the age of 23 - likely at a middle of the pack club, but not required - likely British, but also not a hard requirement
-
It's basically like for like when you also factor in the increased match day income from the CL.

My guess is our first order of business is figuring out more sales. The downside to selling players like Minteh and Anderson is it barely changed our wages + amortisation costs, which are high relative to our revenue.
-
At least half of this is just completely false.

I'm surprised one of them isn't trying to claim they had info on Eddie's contract extension but were asked to keep it quiet.

That was actually my first thought Bunce: "Gordo needs a rest after three straight 90s" Eddie: "Like fuck he does. Southgate rested him plenty."

The third year (this past year, 2023/24) had to be a profit to offset the losses over £105m. I wouldn't use the exact numbers he's saying as there's also the allowed deductions, but it gives the gist of it. Now that we're in a new three year cycle one of those big loss years drops out so, in effect, we could have another year with a big loss (and another one next year as well). It's not quite as simple as that though because while our revenue is much higher than three years ago so is our cost base. It took a significant amount of player sales to turn that profit, which is not ideal. It is interesting to me that he's indicating the shackles may be off a bit again when we're almost certainly not in great shape for UEFA's metrics or the potential new PSR cost control ratio.

Not sure that's fair / true about France, but point taken on the rest.
-
Not really surprising, but there’s some underestimating in here of what we’d lose if Eddie were to go.
-
I'm confident now is not the time for him, but it will be awfully tempting if he's asked given his general interest in it and the players available. The wild card to me, as someone mentioned, is how his family is doing, how settled they are, etc.

I was convinced Walker was getting to that.
-
Come on Gareth, just give Gordon a chance.
-
Who is he going to pick over Gordon tonight - Bowen or Eze?
-
Playing over 4k minutes this season likely a significant factor.
-
Wasn’t there a report about his wages being pretty significant? It’s been a non-starter in my head since then.
-
Ian Darke just said Watkins is coming on and then said “who is coming?” while sounding shocked it could be Kane.
-
Felt like Guehi could have gotten to the initial pass.
-
I thought it looked bad for his knee on that block.
-
I can’t believe he still has that pace. It’s unreal.

Glad the Reuben’s are still solidly involved. Feels like Amanda and Mehrdad should be guests of honor at the first game for a final send-off.
