Whether it ends up happening or not or even works out, it's so typical of Liverpool that in the midst of a crisis where they may need to sack their manager the exact person they would want to replace him may be available.

I think your expectations are far too high then and that’s probably true for a lot of people on here that are perpetually unhappy.

I know other people associated with the club have made bold claims in the last few years and certain actions (or inaction) have not entirely backed those up. But by all accounts Hopkinson is not someone who stands still and he has a reputation for making things happen (and little patience for those who don't). Whether he succeeds in what he sets out to do and whether or not PIF give him the latitude to do so remain to be seen, but I'm confident these are not just words coming from him.

It's certainly a lot better than hearing things like "we can't compete" and "we need to understand our place in the game." Aim for the top and if we end up revenue wise more like Spurs than the Manchesters then we're still competing at the right end of the table, playing in Europe, and with a genuine chance to regularly win things.

Agree if it's always one or the other with Wissa and Woltemade. Could be different if we have any plans of them playing together - Wissa on the left or Nick playing off him, etc.
