We beat that Chelsea team for 90 minutes with players running on fumes. An individual error cost us. We also just beat Arsenal handily in a two legged semifinal. That spoils your narrative a bit though.
-
Not sure why we seem to have no plan for Ederson long balls.

Trips is a mess.

I think his point is that UEFA have their own fair value process:
-
The fines grow based on how badly you break the rules and number of years. Eventually it leads to other punishments, including getting banned. It's a more lenient system, but it's not a free-for-all.
-
Definitely wondering if we even tried. Hopefully we originally tried for higher amounts for SELA, Saudia, etc.
-
They had at least three consecutive years of breaking the loss limit rules. If we're anywhere between 70-79% on the cost control ratio then as first time offenders we'd pay a modest fine. Now we may not want to do that, in which case we need to get below 70%, but at least the option is there.
-
More leeway with UEFA's rules though. I'd describe this as moderately good news.
-
He's underrated by most because the majority of people still think we spent Saudi billions to get here, which also means any struggle is viewed as severely underperforming.

Joe Harvey one FA Cup Final (1974) and one UEFA win (1969). Stan Seymour consecutive FA Cup wins (1951-52). Frank Watt four time league winner and six FA Cup finals (two wins) in 37 years. I believe that’s the entire list. Three other managers between 50-100+ years ago.

Probably not going to be the keeper for the final, which shockingly now might be a controversial topic. Fair play to him. -
Tonali smartly slowing things down there. We can't make everything a rapid counter.
-
It's outrageous that this is considered acceptable. Either put sensors on body parts, put as many cameras as necessary in every stadium so you have perfectly straight lines, or give VAR 30 seconds and if they can't figure it out then keep the on field ruling.
-
I'm giving him a pass since his block at the other end was outstanding.

RULE THAT OUT

The volume is low but you can tell it's rabid. I'd give anything to be there.
-
Except that one uses quality technology and the other is 40-50 year old men drawing lines on a screen at inconsistent frames and from irregular angles.
-
A disallowed goal and a couple unpunished pushes from them will get the crowd going. Silver linings.
-
That's one where the angle isn't quite right and it's so close that it really should just be inconclusive and ruling on the field stands.
-
Do we not get to see it?
-
We were very prompt last year. Many clubs released them in Feb/March.

I feel like this is going to happen too.
