Lads and lasses, if I may defend the guy who made those comments... You have to remember that the supporter group is made up of people off the street and whilst those sort of comments may have caused a bit of a stir I think a lot of us behind closed doors probably believe that. People with the chance of retrospect are having a pop when in reality this guy has probably just been a bit thrown and a bit too open. Nonetheless it's something for us to learn from and take those comments on board. Ultimately The Magpie Group is about the wider fan base and supporter network and not just a collection of fan groups and for now there's been roles selected in the group in an attempt to channel the protests efficiently and effectively rather than have a malaise of people all chipping in and nowt getting done but talking. The idea of the group, like Wor Flags is to run with transparency, democratically and be as anonymous or as faceless as possible, similar to AshleyOut. As a result with any of these groups, a number of people may take questions and interviews and unfortunately, that leaves them all open to giving less diplomatic views. I'll pass the comments on nonetheless, and will consider this in case I do any interviews.

Fantastic. Just got around to reading that now and my lord. He has properly gone to town on them like. Get in.

It's not acceptable. It's just not a massive issue like a lot of other forms of protest could be. That was my point. Unfortunately, I'm of the opinion that peaceful protest rarely works too. So there'll more than likely need to be some bellendery to remove Ashley at some point. I'd just prefer the bellendery didn't include collateral damage.

This thread is exactly why we struggle to get anywhere with our protesting Anyways...different fans can protest different ways. Which ever way they see fit to be honest. It's each individuals prerogative. Thus far, there may have been one or two instances that are a little rash for love of a better term, but it's not like anyone has been physically harmed or owt yet so I'm not too worried. It's the groups that actively promote protesting that need to ensure they do things ligitimately and professionally. If people wanna gan radge then that's their choice as individuals. The more methods to the madness the better to be honest from an NUFC point of view. Just get rid of the twat. Whether that means strategically cutting off his business ventures and driving down his shares or bricking his windows and stealing his stock I don't care. So long as no one innocent is hurt in the process.

Funny thing is the more they 'check' the more people are likely to jump back onto it. The protests are probably the most heightened they've been in recent times so I would think they would know not to fuel the flames. Naive.

Just replied saying I've contacted the police cause he's clearly an oxygen thief. Absolute fucking cunts.

Someone leaving the ground told me we were shit on Saturday and I was like "Are we even watching the same thing here?" People thrive on negativity like especially when we're losing around the 60minute mark. The sighs and jeers start and I just stand there thinking "this game isn't lost so how is getting on their backs gonna help?" Then sure enough if someone sings about Ashley the same misery cunts have a pop. I remember like 5 or 6 years ago if we were losing at 60minute the screw would be turned in the stands and it'd be bouncing for five or ten minutes to try and make one last push. Now it seems people just go to say they've been.
-
The way I look at it; if I sing for most the game then decide to protest at any stage, anyone having a pop at me can get to fuck. I often sing alone in the corner so I'd not take kindly to anyone booting off cause I sang one anti-Ashley song because it wasn't positive enough. The same people who whinge are the same people who go to the pub and complain about him but won't do owt about it.

Atmosphere was as expected. Early kick off and generally I think everyone is deflated about the summer and ownership of the club.
-
People are idiots like. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion obviously...but some people are just fucking plebs. Why abuse your own fans who are willing to do something about the owner who like 90% of the fan base want rid of. Fair play if the said protestors were calling people for not doing owt but Saturday was the total opposite.

Hope you will be at the public meeting that's currently being planned? A public meeting. In 2018. Really? Or is that just a token effort to get people involved, give them one shot to speak up and say their piece? I mean I hope lots of people go and get something out of it, I really do. I may go myself if I'm available. But that's the thing, people have jobs that are different times of the day, people live in different locations, people have commitments. I travel for work and am often abroad so I may not even be in the country. Use the internet ffs. Let people contribute where and when they want, continuously, not once at a set time and place. Maybe there's more "secret forums", make them public. Or make a different public one at least because obviously there needs to be some discreet talks at different levels, or use this forum officially and with proper, known representation from the group present to discuss things and reply to people. #IfRafaGoesWeGo worked so wonderfully because anyone can do it. At any time. It's so simple and easy, and everyone can participate in their own way. This Magpie Group seems the reverse of that, with a "wait for us to tell you what to do" mentality. A fractured fan base is coming together for the first time in decades and yet you say this sorta stuff. You're entitled to your opinion. But in mine...WTF

Advise us what we can do to make it more inclusive (genuinely)

Superb What a perfect image. Love it. Well done everyone. People may say it won't change anything but that's not the point, if you don't stand up for what you believe in only then is there no point. Cause sitting in a bar and complaining over a pint made a significant change like every time in like never. Twats

This, definitely. Now what I'd say is that for the next protest, not only should everyone who went today also attend, but everyone should commit to taking one friend with them who didn't go today. This thing has to grow, not die. He's rattled, he's biting, we're getting to him. Bishop is telling him this will die down, we need to prove him wrong. The bloke on the megaphone at the end said this is just the start. That'd be me There's an open meeting being planned for a couple of weeks time at the Tyneside Irish Centre. Details to follow. But also plans in place for Chelsea and Arsenal.

Arguably my favourite captain from my lifetime as a supporter of NUFC like. I absolutely adore Shearer too for obvious reasons but I love this lads leadership.
-
It may be deluded and naive but I finally feel that the tide is turning now. A small part of me hopes we put in some excellent performances against tough opposition in the opening games with the fans right behind the team in the stadium and to unfortunately be beaten by better sides. That'd help for the screw to keep turning a bit. Unfortunately, when the wins come though (and they will) this sort of pressure needs to keep up off the pitch.

Even if it's just a statement saying Newcastle Online backs this movement. On TMG's site. There's gonna be a supporters page added to the site soon I believe.

Aye. "Rifle through half the thread". It's literally on this page, mate. Fake news.
