We need stick with the lads and Rafa like.

On my phone here. Is there a poll that can be added to this thread for those who'll be attending? It's be nice to gauge numbers for us...

I've got a box of leaflets if anyone could help distribute nearer protest time. Cheers.

I think supporting the team for the most part then chanting about Ashley for the last 5/10minutes at every game is the way to go at the moment. Protest at every home game in some form and the occasional away game too and constantly do it online and via the media. Then as the transfer window closes after January we start turning the screw more, and more. I think the time to turn would be post January surely, if the club don't tie him down to a new contract (which they obviously won't) then burn it all down as it won't matter anyway.

Fuck Sports Direct and less than minumum pay, Fuck Bishops clients Keys, Wise and Gray, We know what we want and we know that we'll get it, We've got Ashley and we wanna get rid, Cause we're proud to be...NUFC. Sex Pistols: Anarchy in the UK

Would love us to be 1-0 up after 90mins and for the Anti-Ashley stuff to be sung again.

Ultimately, the way things are at present gives NUFC the best springboard to fulfil it's potential. He's doing his job, whilst the players do their's and the fans just need to do their bit now inside and outside the ground. Stay up, remove Ashley, keep Benitez. That's how this club moves forward. Not making a martyr of himself like Keegan did. (tin hat)

Don't rain on our parade. ;D Im all behind this but i also agree keeping it out of the stadium is a must sadley, this season is gonna be a tough slog and the players dont need anymore negative vibes. Its easy to say blast it out everywhere but ashley is rearly at SJP anyhow, remember this is about ashley and SD not newcastle utd as it was That said its a shame it dosent spread to other SD shops blocking one shop for half an hour isnt gonna put much of a dent in his pocket 12-15 shops however Just my thoughts on the matter #IfRafaGoesWeGo #Nufc4life #HWTL It is already in the stadium (Chelsea game) and rightly so imo, the time for the softly softly approach and not wanting to disrupt the team is over. Don't think it would bother the team anyway, if anything it would have a positive impact, creating a siege mentality. Hope the anti Ashley chants are loud and clear inside and outside the ground on Saturday. On a side note, what about Wor Flags making a huge "ASHLEY OUT' banner to be held aloft at matches? There's no chance of that and it's also unfair to suggest it imo. If they made such a banner then it would get stopped before it's unveiled and then they'll not be allowed access for banners in the future. The only Ashley Out message in the ground will have to be the verbal kind. Unfair to suggest it How did the "#sportsdirectshame" banner get in then? Not sure, was that a recent banner? Was that done by Wor Flags? I haven't a clue who's it is, but it got in. It was a union banner and union members who got it in, as far as I understand. It will feature this Sunday at S***** D***** too

If everyone can encourage their match mates, etc. to go that'd be great like folk.

We've received positive feedback from media sources, the police and even members of NUFC regarding the first protest (privately) so that's definitely our intention to keep it peaceful. As the Police are there even "heavier" stewarding of the ShiteDirect doors wouldn't have any effect. No one enters the store for half an hour or so whilst we're there. Obviously we cannot control what all the general public do like.

You're welcome, and thanks! We have loads of ideas at the moment but only one or two are being leaked at a time. I'd like to say that was to keep it spontaneous, but it's more that everything is just going so fast at the moment. Once things are settled a bit and the wheels are fully in motion we'll be trying to keep people more up-to-date wherever possible

Liverpool fans have been from the start tbf, they jumped on the original Keys tweet a couple weeks back now and groups like Spirit of Shankly have come out in support of the work like the group you're in is doing. It's good to hear. We just need as many people as possible to 'activate' and protest in their own ways
-
I suspect that will come with time. At present though there is a conscious effort to ensure we get behind Rafa and the lads as ultimately, this could be the last season we enjoy for a while and quite frankly Rafa and his team deserve not to have the shit around the game. There may be pre/post match protests though so we're open to ideas for us to promote. Ultimately, if there is a significant appetite for any reasonable protest though I suspect The Magpie Group will back it as we want the fan base to be United... There will be nothing enjoyable about this season though. There is nothing to lose protesting in the ground. Rafa will still be here next season and any real protests will never get going as a result. It needs taking to the max now. Getting Ashley out is far more important than anything else now You could very well be right and this is something that will be discussed / we may look to do as we continue to protest and look at varying methods For now we're just building it up.

There's quite a few from Man United and Liverpool actually sticking it to them now too.

Gray is definitely on the cunt list now. If he wasn't already. It's literally a case of fingers in ears pretending there's nothing happening with these fuckers like. They have to be getting paid in some way to spout this propaganda. It's based on absolutely 0 fact. Lazy punditry and lazy journalism. I thought these professions were supposed to be bound by at least some degree of fact?

I might be there but I severely doubt it to be honest.

You raise a good point like. Maybe it was purely down to click bait for BeIn

Just to provide a bit of clarity to people. This game has kind of sprung itself upon us a bit because so many methods are being discussed with regards to how we overthrow Ashley. As you can imagine, the various fan groups have made headway in various different ways so we're currently trying to channel these simultaneously whilst maintaining momentum and spontaneity, to ensure full impact. I cannot divulge too much information in here at present, but I am certain nearly all will be shared at the open meeting that is being planned. More details on that to follow. Chelsea (h) is obviously on the immediate agenda with a similar display at Sports Direct. Members of unions, etc. have also provided there support and will be present. The corteo (spelling?) is the usual planned walk from North Terrace which is situated on Claremont Road and goes down the back of the RVI, through Leazes Park to St James', down the East Stand and stops at Gallowgate. This walk is pro-NUFC and includes flags, singing and occasional smoke bombs etc. All stewarded by 2 or 3 police. In this instance, I think it is being pushed so that the more Pro-Rafa support there is then reading between the lines the more Anti-Ashley there also is. Once again, we're having to be a bit vague with our hopes and intentions but we're all aware the club shop is pretty much a Sports Direct. Arsenal (h) is on the agenda, as are several media based pushes and more nationwide forms of protest. I'd urge anyone interested to keep an eye on here and social media, as well attending open meetings, etc. when they occur. The Magpie Group does not speak for the fan base, but I would hope with the involvement of as many fans as possible from all backgrounds we can air our collective view and hopefully gain success by being United on this issue in particular (i.e. Ashley). A bit vague I know but I hope this helps y'all.

Stats like this bore the shit out of me generally speaking like. How many passes did he actually attempt to make? How many times did he try to make the safe pass or actually make things happen, etc. Stats may give an indication as to how a person or team has played but they don't give the full picture. He wasn't great but the way people are rattling on is obscene.
-
It was but he was noticeably gutted about missing. He will learn from it I'm sure.

Kenedy. Quality player who helped transform last season for us. As did Dubravka. Neither had great games. So what. Move on.
-
Fair points. I'll make sure it's fed back.

Lads and lasses, if I may defend the guy who made those comments... You have to remember that the supporter group is made up of people off the street and whilst those sort of comments may have caused a bit of a stir I think a lot of us behind closed doors probably believe that. People with the chance of retrospect are having a pop when in reality this guy has probably just been a bit thrown and a bit too open. Nonetheless it's something for us to learn from and take those comments on board. Ultimately The Magpie Group is about the wider fan base and supporter network and not just a collection of fan groups and for now there's been roles selected in the group in an attempt to channel the protests efficiently and effectively rather than have a malaise of people all chipping in and nowt getting done but talking. The idea of the group, like Wor Flags is to run with transparency, democratically and be as anonymous or as faceless as possible, similar to AshleyOut. As a result with any of these groups, a number of people may take questions and interviews and unfortunately, that leaves them all open to giving less diplomatic views. I'll pass the comments on nonetheless, and will consider this in case I do any interviews.
