The display(s) are mindful of Remembrance but also that we're heading into the world cup in an unbelievable position. I think to emulate the Arsenal game display wise for this wouldn't quite be appropriate but I hope our displays inspire fans to make it a cauldron of noise after respecting the silence.

I like this and I know we're often mindful of various campaigns and initiatives so I think those in the group will appreciate this idea and it's intent. Whilst it may not be a large display or anything like that it might be that we do this as an exit flag or player flag. I have previously expressed that LGTBQ and SRTRC flags etc should be mainstays rather than one off displays. Perhaps this is something we can incorporate too.

Aye, we have a couple of things going on this time out, but hopefully if people read between the lines they will see the connection that has been made between the two displays too so it should tie in with the theme of remembrance and also supporting the lads.

It's important to not get ahead of ourselves I reckon and so I think a goalless draw would be a good result today. I think we're more than capable of winning but, a clean sheet would be fantastic and a draw on any away game should be seen as success given our outrageously good home form. If we take 2 from the next 2 before the world cup we're still well on course for what I'd hoped this season. I reckon we'll give the cups a right go now. If we're on anywhere near 40 points by the time January is over then the FA Cup will absolutely be hunted down imo. This could be the year...

Were they bewing the taking of the knee? On the day of remembrance? If so, the absolute levels of ridiculousness. Also seen comments about their display being far better than Wor Flags and such like. Me neither. For me, I think this is a very difficult situation to navigate. The Qatari people have as much right as anyone to play host. However, the human rights issues and deaths cannot simply be ignored. I personally feel that, if we want countries like Qatar to 'progress' to our way of thinking and give equality to all walks of life then shutting the door on them isn't the best solution. Perhaps, the World Cup might bring about some form of culture clash that actually benefits the Qatari people and others from around the world. For example, they probably frown upon pissed England fans dancing on cars with fireworks hanging out their arse, which is somewhat less of an issue (to say the least). Perhaps, fans going there, not able to get absolutely blitzed on drink and understand Muslim/Arabic culture might enlighten many, and as part of other cultures travelling there it might influence them into understanding that actually it is better to live peacefully and without prejudice of women and homosexuals, etc. I just think shutting the door on it is more likely to create more conflict/less likely to 'resolve' issues.

If the stance is that we should boycott the world cup because there were 15,000 deaths to make the World Cup happen. Does boycotting it not ultimately mean that those people died in vain?

Looking the part was a part of playing the part in my upbringing. None of you scruffs wandering around.

Shirt tucked in, laces tied around the boots, socks up to just below the knee. Always short sleeve if possible. Pretty much the crack for me. Long sleeve actually looks smarter though.

We could do, but we actually have a dressing room image already too which we've used. Could be a shout though.
