Friday versus Albania. Dan Burn is captain.

Aye. Some of this all harkens back to Lascelles and Rafa - the shift in attitude towards the club - the notion that Newcastle was not simply a stepping stone. Newcastle United should demand respect and hold itself in higher regard than it perhaps was. I do wonder what involvement Rafa had with Staveley. I once had a meeting with him (Rafa) and he was an absolute legend like, he was giving his views on the protests and stuff and asking us to maybe do one or two things slightly differently. Which made me think he knew all along what was brewing behind the scenes. Back to Lascelles though, he called out all this shit in the changing room at Southampton one half time if I remember correctly then was quickly made captain shortly after (I think). Maybe not from a footballing perspective but from a professional one, he has earned the right to a winners medal and the privilege of being one of the first to lift a cup.

One of the lads (Dan) absolutely nailed this display tbh. The design and everything. He's not allowed to read this though. -

Plans are afoot. Not organised ones, but some pretty strong initial concepts. One which (for me) I think would arguably be our most powerful yet via one specific metric. -
The latter part of that you said I also mentioned to my mates on Sunday night. One of the lads said how it was a bit unusual that Osula was like front and centre of a lot of the celebrations and I said that "for me it's to show him that even though he's not getting much game time yet, if he works hard, he can stay here, become a big name and win trophies." Same applies to Dan Burn being in the England set up. Model pro. Sets the standard and above all else he's the greatest centre half the world has ever seen.

There is something in what you've said I reckon and that is that the South Americans in general wear their hearts on their sleeves with regards to football and I think we've always been a very hearty club but not always with much head. Eddie Howe has brought that element and all of a sudden, we've become a lot more well rounded as a club.

Just seen that interview immediately after the game for the first time. Wow. Powerful stuff. He fucking adores it here and we fucking adore him. What a guy. Growing into such a good captain.

It was a moment where I just went wild and started calling them every swear word under the sun then got a lump in my throat right after thinking "my fucking God"
-
That out-pouring of "Oh my fucking God, we did it" has properly set me off like.

Canny funny listening to folk who don't like us fall over themselves to rubbish it. It's one of the major honours in English club football.

That sprint and tackle first half was a moment where I turned to my mate, knowingly tempting fate, and said "that'll be a moment that at the end of the game that we will say won us the cup." He looked at me like he wanted to scoop my eye balls out with his folded match ticket, but then we won the cup.

My God I fucking love this lad. He has literally lived the dream. A dream he has worked so fucking hard to earn. Good lord.
-
Aye it was absolutely radge. He should have had it passed to him tbh but we switched it right. Was like a man possessed.
-
I absolutely loved that in the last half an hour in particular he left a shoulder in on every tackle. Nothing heavy just like almost an irritating nudge. Was never gonna get done for it but did it after every single interaction with them. Letting them know he was there. Was mint.

As a heart guy. I get it. From the heart. But Howe man...he's the greatest. For NUFC. Or certainly since the PL inception
-
Is.

Doesn't do big games. Teeheehee

Immortality. What a fucking word.

Let it be known that the tie was won 32k Geordies nailed their colours to the mast and saved God Save The King. When Joelinton ran 100m at lightning speed to make a tackle. When Nick Pope saved a lightning quick shot with strong arms and each time he commanded his area with great confidence. The selfless leadership of a captain in the making now etched in the glorious tapestry of our history as the captain that ended our 70 year drought. Sandro as irritable, immaculate and flawless as ever. Kieran Trippier- the man that folk have questionned his capability to remain a key figure - being key. But above all else. DAN FUCKING BURN. Write YOUR name in the history books. TAKE A BOW. THE HERO AND THE HEART OF ALL GEORDIES, A MAN MOUNTAIN. OURS. FUCKING. OURS.

Apart from being pissed up and jovial piss takers there's no reason to dislike Newcastle as a neutral like I genuinely don't get all the faux rage about teams nowadays. Sure it's just become a thing since social media and the ability to actively see more fuck nuggets. I honestly think most match going fans above 30 wont mind us.

Sitting in an airport for a while saying as the Mrs' flight to the Toon is now about to depart and my scheduled flight 80mins later now has an hour delay. Delightful.
