Wore Red.

You look the leatherback sea turtle type.

I disagree.

Sooner we get some dosh in and start moving forward the better. Bout time we got a transfer window spot on and had a team fit, ready and raring to go as soon as a ball is kicked.

He'll be more effective abroad. Has good acceleration over 10 yards which is his prize asset. Can then maintain pace with something of the very quickest. I think that reduction in athleticism will benefit him but he'll be found out in a more technical sense.

Our shining Geordie beacon and future world cup winner.

I think anyone posting either side of 3-6 is somewhat unjustified tbh.

But they've all replaced manager after manager and continued to fail after throwing millions at it too.
-
And yet by the same token this suggests we weren't also alone in the difficulties we or indeed others in recent seasons have also faced. I agree, by the way.
-
I think he's referring more to the vitriolic way in that folk have 180d on last years emotions and now seem intent on slating Howe beyond reasonable levels and/or on personal levels for one below par league season tbh.
-
Yep. I think that's fair.
-
No they most likely do a root cause analysis and have found from their investigations that Howe is a contributory or secondary factor rather than the ultimate root cause. Whether folk agree or not.
-
At the start of the season I reckon most folk would have took Europa League after reaching the knockout phases of the CL and a cup semi final in the league cup final with going out to Man City in the FA Cup. This is the thing. Lots of uses of passionate and exaggerated statements, views and beliefs in here in a season that has been as expected on the cups and poor in the league, but results wise - we're probably talking about 2 wins...2 Derby day wins.
-
Mad thing is if we beat the scum twice we'd be in Europa League and dare I say it most would think differently of this seasons results, albeit not their performances.
-
I see we're still all regurgitating the exact same views from 3months ago The one thing I'll say - is I am disappointed by the lack of professionalism and endeavour shown by the collective club since the second half of the Barca game. Nothing realistically was likely to change other than that until post-pre-season. That doesn't bode well for Howe but is perhaps systematic of what I perceive to be changing room divisions and a slow decline in "leaders" both on the pitch and behind the scenes and for me our inability to see out leads only highlights that further. What remains to be seen now is who stays, what they perform like when they do, and who we sign - but that's most seasons...right?! There is nothing too strange in folk staying loyal to Howe. Let's face it. Just as there's nothing too strange in folk wanting change (at this stage), but I think any reasonable fan when they take an objective view, based on known fact (only) can at least see reasons for both.

And cost us Europa League and the chance to gloat. Twice they showed more character and as a result are worthy of their place despite it paining me to say it.

Dan Burn. 60 years of hurt. Nowt. League Cup Winner. The fucking king.

Dan Burn. England World Cup winner.

Not really. Like I say, the players may compliment one another or perhaps gel better together or whatever. The proof will be in the pudding. I'm not saying he has got it right or he has got it wrong, but the focus shouldn't simply be whether he's took all the best players that's all. We had the "golden generation" and we've had multiple years of thinking we had the most talented squad but won nowt losing out to German sides and other sides with perceived lesser squads.
-
There's a lot to be said for having experienced players and "cheerleaders" in the background though. Helps to set the standards at training, to guide the younger players and to offer cool heads during the crazy moments.
-
We haven't won owt for 60years and that's picking all the supposed best and most talented players available. It's the best team, not the best players, that matters.
-
Howe is a better manager.
-
I didn't say they didn't have but now you've opened that can of worms Gordon in particular isn't that devoted to NUFC or Howe given he has been underperforming for the vast majority of the last calendar year and has clearly wanted away and now got his move.

I remember reading some time ago something along the lines of "two compatriots were particularly unhappy with Isaks behaviour and sought to confront him". Was blates Bruno and Joelinton. Think they absolutely have Eddie's back too along with Trippier and Lascelles previously.
