The thing is - I get why we're laughing - but if you remove all the reasoning behind it they're actually leading the way.
  2. Expanding the global brand will only be done at greater speed by winning trophies and not achieving CL football. Obviously the latter helps but fans who aren't from the region are more likely to tune in for a team that wins trophies. I honestly think none of our key players leave in the summer if we win a cup.

    Dan Burn

Burn was probably one of the only players worthy of any credibility today. Him, Dubravka and Joelinton. Burn was by far and away our man of the match.

    Fucking sublime.

    Anthony Gordon

Gordon massively fucked up today but he wasn't alone in being sub par. I just think he got sent off because of frustration at his own performance. Or I hope so...cause he was fairly shite...again. He's clearly our best player in that position, but he gets far less shit than his counterpart with equal goal involvements on the opposite flank department being less talented.

    Match Atmosphere

I was canny gutted as my voice went early doors, but what an absolutely shit atmosphere today. Was 200% embarrassing.
  7. Imagine saying we were failing on all 3 fronts, in this situation, 3 years ago. Man United are failing. Spurs are failing. Man City and Chelsea are failing (at a push). They're about the only 4 this season. The rest are very much a mixed bag of hitting form and falling out of form because they're made up predominantly of half a dozen decent to international class players and managers trying to get the absolute maximum out of half a dozen lads who probably aren't consistently of this level. You cannot deny we should be aiming to be above Forest and Bournemouth, we may well be come the end of the season, but for now surely the focus is on our first domestic cup win in 70years after beating 5th, 3rd, 2nd and now 1st to do so...
  8. Well...the Wembley display is almost all ordered, produced and ready to go...

    Match Atmosphere

I tend to agree but we have to be tactful how it's done with owt like this otherwise the reaction is always "egos" "above their station" "think they're the voice of all fans" etc. I mean any normal person would agree like but yi just kna plenty folk who'd say the above exist.

You need starters in the quiet areas

    Match Atmosphere

English football is just going to end up either throwing itself off a cliff edge or becoming choreographed to fuck like everywhere else. I hope the latter for everyone's sake. Sad state of affairs though. Football in this country has become too commercialised , so the TV dictates what fans do, too sanitised because the media painted every English football fan as a degenerate, pissed up hooligan and we are too stubborn to have us act American (thank fuck). Needs a real big shake up, up and down the country.
  12. We are winning this like. 100%. Tonight was the first part of our hussle.

    Nick Pope

    Aye basically all this.
  14. Yep. Think defeated, be defeated. It's really weird actually. I think it's some sort of Post-Ashleyism mentality. This is an actual era of history by the way. I'm sure we just used to think - fuck these big wigs, let's show them who we are.

    Nick Pope

He shouldn't be starting at present, for me.
  16. I was just being facetious tbh. He shouldn't be absolved of criticism so long as its measured and justified as (lazily - I assume) you are being.
  17. Aside from being facetious... I think a fit Isak would have made a huge difference tonight with us perhaps grabbing two goals. Osula should probably have started before Wilson. Dubravka for Pope. Think our midfield was left a bit threadbare. Willock doesn't start alongside Tonali and Bruno for me, certianly against top sides. He is effective when stretching teams but not tactically aware enough otherwise. I think our goals conceded came from a stretched and perhaps unfocused midfield from what I saw but then I did have my Mam waffling on about windows or some shit. Gordon too inconsistent this season and same goes for Willock, which is frustrating, but the same can be said for multiple players. Howe needs to take some accountability for that, but thoroughly expeft us to be back at the races in the coming games. If our fans go into games with defeatist attitudes I'm not sure we can blame anyone else for the same...that's very much what tonight felt like to me. Isak was out so everyone thought it was a done deal.
  18. Howe out etc. Until we win again on Sunday
  19. Handled Salah fine. Was let down by some of his team mates for me, but not for the love of trying.
  20. Demonstrates what a good job Howe did last season for me.
