It was actually Facebook that brought it to my attention. Loads of people (all Toon fans) going mental in their support of him. None of them know him or owt, and obviously it's a sad story and he's a brave lad but fuck me, there are kids dying left, right and centre who would have loved the treatment he has received. Football is a completely changed game like, maybe for the better, but it's not the sport I grew up with. Football fans falling over one another to be the nicest. As mentioned above it just seems like a race to break the news / get the hits or likes / feel better about yourself. I'm sure all the support is sincere too, but it just comes across totally wrong. How many of those same people would be genuinely upset when he passes away? I know I seem a right misery cunt like, it's nowt against the kid or his family.

    Has Bradley Lowery passed away?
  3. There is clearly only one winner to that debate

I'm still in the corner this season like, with my flask and sandwiches.
  6. He's proper slow apparently Reminds me a little of Woodgate in those respects. Not quick and he doesn't look "beefy" but strong, attributes that made Woodgate the defender he was as he made up for his lacks in ways that made him excellent........when he played. Here's hoping similar with this bloke. Beefy / Strong Potayto / Potahto
  7. He looks like a canny beefy motherfucker like. Happy days.
  8. Really pleased about this signing. A good box to box CM and a target man who can finish now please.
  9. I believe it isn't a Gallowgate Flags, flag. However, it was endorsed / supported by us. We want all fans to support the team through both vocal and visual methods and if people are going to make positive additions via the production of their own supportive flags we will always support these people. The idea of Gallowgate Flags is to get behind the team regardless. Therefore, I suspect displays would probably stop temporarily as opposed to incorporating SackWhoever banners, however I cannot say for certain. My personal feeling is that we could have maybe just stayed out of this scenario so that we weren't seen to be on any side. Despite obviously being happy that people are contributing by making their own flags. However, we have fallen on the correct side were we expected to choose one. So nowt to worry about. We may need to fund raise again soon for new flags so the point I made to the other people involved is that for us to continue making it a success we need to stop pissing off aspects of our support. For example the GS lad and then the brain dead homophobes. It shouldn't be a case of having to have a side. Just keep quiet and carry on and we will have more success as a group. In my opinion of course.
  10. I fear this may create a negative reaction by odd knob heads on match day but if the kid who had it made is willing to wear his heart on his sleeve I don't see why that is an issue and we should all welcome that as a United (pun intended) fan base. As someone who helps out for GF though I have expressed my concern to others involved that this does indeed set a precedent and advised that we would be criticised by some sections for becoming political. Nonetheless, as a group we were wanting fans to take initiative to get their own flags done and this kid has publicly done that. If everyone complaining got off his case and made their own flags then it would simply drown that out and GF wouldn't be required. We're discussing plans for Spurs and hopefully we will have some new flags on display of our own. FWIW I do think football is becoming overly sanitised from a personal point of view but maybe not in aspects relating to homophobia and racism as really they don't belong in society. P.S. The overzealous reactions of the PC brigade on here get so tedious at times. Alreet people might not have your views but at least engage...
  11. I think it's perfectly understandable that people are beginning to panic. It's Newcastle United, anyone who has followed them for any decent amount of time knows it's a rollercoaster and after 15months of up's there's got to be a down eventually, especially with this fat, burger molester in charge, tubby Southern cunt.

Again, a fair point. But the flag displays will still happen pre-match and will simply continue throughout further up the stand. I think it's a safe bet for all involved until it develops. It's no less than what is currently happening. Less people to be pissed off, no ST holders to be moved, it's a fresh project and the club need to gauge the reaction as do the respective fans / fan groups. If it develops it will grow down the Gallowgate and that's the aim.

Fair points. Problem is that in the Strawberry Corner whilst there is atmosphere a lot of the inhabitants wouldn't appreciate flags and not being able to see the match all game. I think it's good to have a trial run where it's going to be and then seeing what appetite there is for it. As always though it's a matter of giving it time to develop as Level 7 did and that's in the hope that Ashley doesn't have another but of twattery during that time.

Less money to buy the club means more money to invest into it though...surely?

I think the intent is that is starts concentrated into one or two blocks (I think towards the west portion of the Gallowgate upper tier but I could be wrong). Then it will expand if demand warrants it. In an ideal world safe standing would be introduced and the whole Gallowgate would be like the Yellow wall (only Black and White). In my opinion, of course.

The idea is that it'd be a section for like minded fans to get together and sing and wave flags throughout the game and not just pre-kick off. Unofficially, they'd be standing one would assume and Wor Hyem are working hard with Gallowgate flags and the club to ochestrate it. It's exactly what all stadiums need across the country in response to this ridiculous away section at pitch side crap. Away fans and clubs shouldn't feel at home as it should be a disadvantage. Wor Hyem works as a name as it obviously means our home. It is our home. Whilst it might not have a punchy ring to it or whatever it makes sense and regardless of that these lads are really trying to make a positive difference for all match goers. They essentially are teaming up with Gallowgate Flags but are focusing more on the vocal aspects and dealing with the club to obtain a singing section as one of their current main goals. Gallowgate Flags work predominantly with the more visual aspects and their limitations within the ground. It is pretty much the same thing I agree but different people head up different aspects. Anyways...It's good that people are putting the effort into improving the atmosphere.

The product is the premier league and sky bids the highest amount to showcase the product in the uk therefore this decision has nothing to do with sky and all about the Premier League. Stick them in the east stand corner where they used to be. The product is the Premier League but it's Sky who sell it. The people who "manufacture" this product want more sales and therefore Sky and television companies are the issue as they bear the most influence on the funding of this product. Away fans generate more atmosphere and that makes the game more appealing which is a fact. However, it's simplistic and naive to make the move that they are. Home fans have been disrupted and dissected for years because of increased pricing, policing and regulations which are simply too old for the modern game. We should have been proactive and did what Germany have done. Instead now we must be reactive. FWIW I think we both / all agree on that

Cannot see him remaining at Aberdeen long now like. He'll probably rock up at a bigger club than Sunderland like Leeds or Burton.

I think it's a proper shit rule. Can see why they're doing it but it's all to improve the Sky product. Sky having more influence on the game. The way atmospheres should be improved is by introducing singing sections with flags and displays and driving down the pricing of tickets as they're ultimately irrelevant these days in terms of finances anyways. Have ssfw standing sections and increase a stands capacity by 50%+ and they'll cover their losses. Make home stadiums feared rather than away fans rocking up and putting their feet under the table the cocks
