I'm intrigued to read / hear more opinions of our lot like. Would be great to sit and have a pint with them and see what they made of the last 2/3 seasons.

    Some brutality on here today.
  4. Milking the recent ride of enthusiasm man...when he gets sacked for not donating a win at home to Burnley to Ashley the authors will be laughing.
  5. Love how clueless Sammy looks when the roar comes in about the Villa goal too.
  6. Saying that now is different though. I think many would be happy with that now, but after a season playing shite (which we would have to do to finish outside the top 10, see Leicester & West Ham) it would feel pretty grim. Most people seemed to find this season disappointing until like the last 3 games It's going to be a big summer put it that way. I think I'll be positive going into the season regardless like. Simply because of Rafa.

    What was this pulling thing?
  9. Aye. As soon as they hit 40 points they're a good safe bet to have on losing.
  10. TBF like looking at the current league table Hanshithispantz has a fair point. Still think I'd be happy comfortably staying up though.
  11. Aye a kna. The one good thing is, the more people go on like this, the more of a siege mentality we can have. People expecting us to fail, and what not. Will make it all the sweeter if, in the next 3 or 4 years we consolidate and win something. For all Liverpool love Rafa and he loves them, it'd be absolute scenes if he won something here.
  12. Aye, I want Bradford and Huddersfield up simply because they're more Northern tbh.

    Quality interview
  15. Good. Hope he wins the league then hands the job over to Nigel Pearson. I hope they win the FA Cup and he just fucks off now to be honest. "Deluded Arsenal fans only want a North Londonder in charge"
  16. Again not the place for it...But that is only his role if that's the tactic the manager is deploying. I suspect in a Benitez team that actually isn't his role per sé. Yedlin isn't great defensively and actually that's more what I (and I suspect Rafa) consider his role. That's not to say I think either is better but that's partially why Dummet was one of our most used players. That and the facts there was less competition there (). Showing a lack of improvement in technical ability isn't necessarily lazy either. Maybe, he just simply cannot get any better. My point in this regardless is that Sissoko often didn't do as I suspect he was told and also didn't have the right attitude. Every one of our players from this season has. I think the fact he spent £5m on a regular left-back from Serie A, who's profile is the complete opposite to Dummett, suggests Benitez doesn't particularly see Dummett as a first-choice. It hasn't worked out with Lazaar, but I wouldn't be surprised if we sign someone like that again this summer. Fair point and I agree that it wouldn't be a shock. I just don't necessarily foresee us deploying overlapping wing backs much (if at all) next season and I certainly don't think Dummett is as bad as often made out.
  17. Dummett does do his job, he's just not very good at it. He might not do it well enough to be a comfortable premier league side (we shall see) but he certainly does it well enough to be a worthy Championship winning LB. Again...He defends well enough but his attacking part of his game could do with improving. For me he has always been a CB anyway
  18. When Villa scored I'd say that was the loudest I've ever heard SJP in my 35 years of going there. It was a totally diffferent roar to the one that greets a goal. From the Gallowgate it seemed to start over in the Milburn Stand, then into our end and around the East stand into the Leazes. Probably sounded totally different to people in other stands though. The best way to describe it would be like thunder that starts of as a deap rumble and just gets louder and louder because the storm is actually right above you! Remember turning to the bairn and he was just stood there with his hands covering his ears and a slightly scared look on his face! Class. When you watch that video like "We are the champions" sounds mint but mainly because of the Geordie accent. It's that deep "We". That's why the Dutch sound good with songs and the Scots and Germans. Absolutely bellows out. Was so bizarre that roar like. It must have came on the big screens did it? Cause for so many people to ust know at the same time was bizarre. It didn't come on the big screen, it happened because most people were phoning others as nobody could access a decent mobile data signal and couldn't get online for updates. Just seemed to be instantaneous. I think a lot of people just assumed it was correct after the minorities reactions too I don't think anybody assumed anything, especially after the false alarm in the first half. Most people near to me were either on their phone or huddled around somebody who was. Aye On the pitch too the players all on their phone (I assume) ringing to keep a tabs on the Villa score. Must have made it sweeter for Clark like that his old team mates helped us out and possibly that he was here and not there getting grief from their fans.

  20. Dead on. Half the premier league clubs don't have the experience we do as a premier league club for that matter. This expectancy thing gets on my tits too. Virtually all our fans will tell you that comfortably staying up is the objective next season. Anything more is outstanding. Nevertheless, I have a problem of this criticism regardless. Any fan should want their club to be the best and any sportsman should have that desire more so. But hey that's the media and premier league agenda. Elitist to say the least. Heaven forbid that people should want more than to be just another club in the league that fills up the numbers before they eventually get relegated. More pressure up here than Burnley, Hull and Bournemouth. Of course there is. We're one of the top 10 successful clubs in the country with a fairs cup to our name and recent champions league experience. How dare people even compare us or our "expectancy" to the likes of those teams or even the likes of Leicester, Stoke, West Bromwich, etc. Actually for that matter what makes these cunts think Chelsea and Man City fans have reasonable expectations? The only reason they're perceived as big clubs is because the overwhelming financial backing that has got them there. Before that they were no different from us. City struggled to sell out at home games when they were winning the league a few years ago and probably still are and yet you never hear of their fans being an issue. Arsenal fans are desperate for Wenger out and half the media back them...where was or support when we had that arrogant, egotistical twat (Pardew) spewing bollocks every week. Deluded Geordies. Above their station. Go fuck yourselves man. There probably is increased pressure here but that's because we're not some fucking polyfiller premier league team who've (to give credit to those clubs) done exceedingly well in elevating the club's to the best they can be. We are Newcastle United and we're one of England's largest clubs. The media in general are just utter fucking jizzcocks #Rant
  21. 11 Dummetts and we're a pub team. Dummett does his job - defends. 11 people doing their job and we work as a TEAM. People don't like Dummett because he is limited going forward, that's not his role. But regardless of any of the above I can forgive people for perceived lack ability - I cannot forgive people for the incorrect attitude / professionalism without good reason. Moussa should have been playing out his skin to advertise himself as a professional regardless of who was managing him and whilst that provides him with something to be excused upon its not enough to warrant the number of games he simply did fuck all for us.
  22. He may not have jumped from club to club much but he is still a mercenary. He's just not good enough to have jumped far enough. He will be effective at someone who play the counter attack and his athleticism will frighten people. His footballing ability won't.
