  1. Tbf though, I think this biased idea comes from the fact that they are never biased towards us. At times they have come across fairly anti-Newcastle. However, the fact we haven't been part of 'the big four' for some time means we aren't likely to be bummed. I'm of the opinion that 'the big four' are fairly well penetrated by Sky.
  2. I think Redknapp is right here tbh. Despite Gray having a good point also.
  3. Imagine if Loose Women said men can't iron though, and make sexist remarks about that - we really wouldn't give a fuck would we? We would just say it's a woman's job anyway.

    Chris Hughton

Just seeing Hughton reminds me of the promotion season, the tom foolery in level 7 and the good side of the game.
  5. We need the title changing to "His name is Joey Barton and he loves the Toon". Thanks xx

    Shola Ameobi

I'm in the very small minority, but despite the frustrating moments he gives us, I'm a Shola fan.
  7. I like Jonas like, to be honest I think he is good on the left in front of José. They have a good relationship.
  8. Is it his birthday... I hope I get invited around for paella and a pint.

    NUFC Songbook

New? wey ive never heard it before, sorry if its old like. I get to the majority of home games and a few away ones as well. Strange. First got aired at QPR away last season from what I recall. Don't think it took off very much but I've heard it a bit more recently. I thought it was "He'll never lose a fight you know he'll never lose a fight, he'll never lose a fight you know he'll never lose a fight", but that is top drawer.

    Danny Guthrie

Just like with all our players at the moment, I find it hard to criticise any of them because I know they always give it their all. Guthrie isn't terrible, nor is he brilliant, he is an average player who can either have a great game or a 'mare. He always gives it his best though.
  11. José is the best, and my favourite left back I have seen play for the toon like.
  12. I personally don't believe that if this was the other way around blokes would give a shit. It's totally fucking irritating.
  13. The man who shags everybody's wives is truly awesome at the moment.
  14. At the end of the day, we aren't doing that bad at the minute, even when key players like Tiote and Caroll have been missing. Over-achieving isn't really the word in my opinion, it's the fact the league doesn't have much quality/teams have a similar level of quality/other teams are shit...take your pick from those three...
  15. They've even got their own "wrestling-football" thread - no need to pollute the rest with this gibberish... WHAT? The negativity shown by some posters on this board really has hit 'rock bottom' when they have to complain about anything that is remotely off topic. It's pushing me over the 'edge' and I'll be 'stone cold' and 6 feet under with the help of an 'undertaker' if it carries on much longer. We need our 'brood' of admin' to give these pessimists of 'mankind' a good old fashioned 'stinky face'.

    Chris Hughton

Likewise. I wont ever forget the role he played at this club. He is a hero in his own right.

    Alan Pardew

He's done OK and the team have done the rest. Sitting where we are at the minute in the league is without doubt a success but thus far that is down to Hughton and his management of a team of lads who realise how special their roles at this club are. That, combined with the togetherness and team spirit that Hughton developed here is what has seen us tackle sticky patch after sticky patch. The Pardew scenario was another sticky patch that was put to the table, simply through Ashley's jizzing all over it with his excitement of pissing us (the fans) off again. Well for all his jizzing we didn't give him the backlash it deserved and ultimately that also helped Pardew to disappear off the fans radar and get on with his job. Speaking more specifically about Pardew, I haven't seen his interview from 'Late Kick Off' which apparently he handled well, but for all of his other interviews - I can't help but feel uncomfortable with what he says and some of his ideas seem questionable. Regardless of this aspect of his role as manager, I think his appreciation of the club and it's loyal support hasn't gone unnoticed and that combined with the results which undoubtedly he has had some hand in (although as to what level is questionable) is enough to say he has done an okay job thus far. If we were to get to Europe he has obviously done marvellous as has Hughton. I still have my feet firmly stuck in the Hughton camp, but for what it's worth my bootlaces are slowly coming undone and that halfway hotel isn't so far away.

    Sunderland...

Are we talking nailed on as in Alan Pardew's extra-curricular activity, or nailed on as in bullshit? Nailed on as in it is semi-believeable and it winds Cajun and co up. Before they ask, I've taken a good look at myself and it was at this point I realised I still didn't need viagra to get it up - god if I was any sexier I think the little soldier would explode. Carlton Cole though - to Sunderland, it's not a bad leaf to pull from the random tree like.

    Sunderland...

Speaking to a mate who's Dad works at the SAFC academy and apparently it's nailed on Sunderland are going to sign Carlton Cole for £5m.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I also hope he comes back before March. I think he has the potential to be a dream signing for the price we paid, just like Tiote, and Enrique, Hopefully he'll be played on either flank or in an attacking role just in behind Caroll. I think we could finish anywhere between 14th and 6th, but the Premiership will start to develop groups in the next few weeks. A top 2, 3rd to 5th, 6th to 10th, 11th to 14th and the rest fighting relegation. At a hopeful guess, I'd like to think 7th/8th. Realistically I reckon we'll finish 12th.
