  1. Jonas is going to look sweet when his hair starts to grey a bit
  2. Standard liege 2-1 Anderlecht Get in! Reported Newcastle CB target Virgil Van Dijk had a great game for Groningen in a 2-2 draw against Feyernoord
  3. Great result I've been waiting for Obertan to have a go on the left since he got here and I'm pleased he had a good after getting so much stick on here every time i defend him We will see if he can get some consistency in that position. Ferguson was great as well, love having a left footed left back. Win our next 2 Europa league clashes at home and we should progress
  4. Surely that'll be Ferguson left wing with Anita left back and a 4-4-2? It is being reported as a 4-3-3
  5. Wouldn't mind us playing a similar system to Bordeaux (3-5-2) actually long term. You can see in the highlights how influential Tremoulinas was as a LWB and would like to see Fergie given a chance in that position

This, It really started when we bought Cisse. We have Ba and Cisse but the rest of our team is more suited to a formation with only one of them in the team.

  9. Left footed left back getting another assist? what a shock!

Would love to see inman loaned out so we could get a good glimpse of were the kid is really at
  11. Sounds more like capoeira than AFL mate
  12. Mkhtaryan or summit? Been impressed every time I've seen him play. Yeah, doing extremely well. Shahktar won 2-1 ater a Srna volley from a corner, but after 2 missed penalties and a red card to the opposing team. Sounds like a Man United win. I would imagine Shakhtar players would be outside our wage structure but a player from Dnipro who looks really good is Evgen Konoplyanka who is a right footed left winger. Fast and strong on the ball with a good work rate and he has been striking the dead ball really well. Is only 22 as well
  13. This crazy Armenian Attacking midfielder for Shaktar has scored his 13th goal of the season for Shakhtar Donetsk to equalize against Dnipro. After one of their brazilian players had the worst miss I have seen this season.

  15. Apart from Ben Arfa, which other wide player on our roster has consistently beaten a man to put a cross in? Just how easy do you think it is to find Shola in space when you want to put a cross in? Was the shot yesterday really that bad in the context of the shots Cisse and Cabaye had in the same match? People are describing the play as if Demba was in acres of space crying out for the ball. I can't believe i'm reading that fans wouldn't want an attacking player to put their head down and go for goal in that situation. We would all like professional players to be able to put negative feedback from the fans to the back of their mind, and credit to Perch for being able to overcome it (though the time away and the change of position helped) but the way the home fans jump on his back after his first mistake isn't helping the issue. I wouldn't start him either and yes I wish we had signed a better winger in the summer but people are acting like we have some kind of Sunday League player that can't be arsed on the pitch.

  17. Fans pretty much gave up on him after 5 games. Been fighting a losing battle since. A pity, as the talent is there but there is no way he will build up any confidence at this club now as fans just jump on his back after any perceived mistake, even if the movement of the forwards is largely to blame for a significant amount of his crosses that don't find a player.
  18. Williamson 8 and Jonas 6.5 What? On reflection I think i marked Williamson a little high, but he was undoubtedly the better player between him and Jonas today. Clean sheet, and Williamson actually got onto the end of some set plays today.
  19. Marseille are 6 wins from 6. Still look light years behind PSG when they are at their best but if they can remain consistent they could end up giving them a run for their money for the title. I hope so anyway!
