I'm a bit disappointed with the in the ground 34th minute stuff. It's just giving those fannies who were wavering before an excuse to go in. "I stood up in the 34th minute and did my part". Fuck that. They need to be as militant as they wer last week and keep pushing on with that.

Trouble is if they do walk we'll just end up with a poorer manager who will happily accept the conditions. (Like the Keegan situation) Would love every manager to say f*** off to Ashley perhaps making him reconsider his conditions. But unfortunately there's always someone like Carver who will take whatever is thrown at them just so it keeps them in a job. A poorer manager will get us relegated, which Ashley doesn't want either. Something would have to give. I just don't want another Pardew, happy to lick his arse in public and willing to keep us in the league every year offering the square root of f*** all in terms of hope and progression. To be fair, after all that's gone on, I don't think a new manager could complain about being told to finish 7-17. Surely they would be aware of this before taking the job.

He's a decent guy, I met him a few times when he was at Boro as he lived just outside of Yarm.
