How many of players brought in were actually Pardew signings vs Carr signings? The two players haven't been got rid of and could be back at the end of the season so it's entirely possible that he could be on his way.

I don't understand why people are supporting him over the weight thing. Whether the club gave them the weight limit due to science or vindictiveness isn't the issue, the issue is that he's given them ammunition due to his unprofessionalism. If he was going to take Pardew on then don't give him any excuses to have a go and get the fans behind you, instead - if you believe the vindictive bit - then he's walked into Pardew's trap.

If you had ended that after 'away', it would have been far better and emphasises the difference between how the fans are treated

That graph just means that there are both good players that run a lot and good players that run less. Similarly, there are bad players that run a lot and bad players that run less. This is just an eyeball estimation but the predictive value of those lines relative to the scatterplot simply can't be that strong. Tbf I thought it showed that more players that ran less than 120 metre in a min tended to be more productive, but there you go.

Absolutely right. HBA is a big baby in the middle of a sulk. Nah, he's either trying to antagonise, can't be arsed or genuinely put that much muscle on.

To be fair though if the club told them all that they needed to come back at a certain weight or they'll be fined then anyone who breaks it can't whinge. He could contest it if his body fat has reduced but he knew the score. He's only got a right to complain if it's happened to other players and not been made public.
