  1. i've deleted all the immature posts from this clip. Its' impossible to answer this, without talking about the old board etc, because you are asking me to make a comparison of the club betwen different eras and owners. And when I do that, a lot of people appear to simply not like the truth. See this link here, I pretty much agree with most of what is in this. I don't have a link to the original http://z3.invisionfree.com/NUFCforum/index.php?showtopic=3638 I don't really want to go along with the "blame" mentality, the most important thing is to realse where the wants to go. Only the owner really knows. I have long suspected that Mike Ashley never reallly had serious intentions to succeed on the pitch with the football club. I never expected Keegan to do his 3 years, because I expected him to realise that they didn't have the ambition that he quite correctly demands of a club which is one of the biggest in the country, but I must admit that i "hoped" we would have had him in charge longer than this. I have to say, that a lot of people have been saying they "think" a particlar thing ie a particular sighing, but what they really meant was "hope" I've been bitten on the arse too often by this club over the years to think that what I "hope will happen" construes to "what I think will happen". I don;t think a short term boycott wil work. I think Ashley will sell the club when he is good and ready. Although I concede a boycott and demonstration makes you feel better if thats what you want to do. Everybody is different. Only long term apathy, or a good offer at this time will make Ashey sell the club. Very good post that (on the link, not yours). It's just a shame that the normal 'get behind the lads and everything will be fine' attitude is starting to prevail We are our own worst enemies. indeed it is, but you must also agree with my comments too as they back it up......... No, you mentioned the old board.
  2. So because people have a different opinion, they are mongs?
  3. Did these kids have seats in the front row just to the side of the goal by any chance? A few seats back from the front row but yeah! i think the kids you were on about were on my bus. On the way back to the bus after the game one of them were stood at the side of the bus with a policeman so i dont know if he got kicked out or what. edited.

  5. It's happened before, not long ago if memory serves me right, there were quite a few incidents inside the ground. Now if I can just remember which manager/chairman we were getting rid of at the time....
  6. I can see trouble looming between fans at the match, judging by the strength of different feelings on various forums.
  7. Dave? How come he gets the credit? It's those four letter names. Wrong name at the wrong time....
  8. Excellent, we should have a healthy bank balance if he doesn't. It's just a pity the manager isn't allowed to spend it. not really that healthy. just about level on transfers,my guess would be less income, wages deopping slightly and still no-one telling us when the tele cash is going in. Will be interesting to find out what happens to the telly cash. Dave, you must be the first person to use the word 'pedigree' in relation to Dennis Wise. Well done.
  9. Excellent, we should have a healthy bank balance if he doesn't. It's just a pity the manager isn't allowed to spend it. Dennis can though.
  10. Lee Ryder won't be happy with what pops up on wiki: "was an American porn star who performed in gay pornography films from 1981 to 1986. With his bad-boy good looks and slim body, Lee Ryder became one of the first gay porn superstar during a period when the pornography industry was making its transition from film to video in the early 1980s." mackems.gif
  11. bearing in mind ashley has yet to take any money out of NUFC,surely not buying NUFC merchandise, drinks inside the ground etc will only harm NUFC and not ashley himself. sports direct is different and i doubt anyone would own to that anyway. You know this how?
  12. Aye, Taylor quite happily chatted away, then asked me for a pint in the players bar. Motson just looked at me, then looked out of the window and said nowt. DIdn't want to know in the player bar.
  13. In such case I have no doubt whatsoever such a dispute would have been referred immediately to Llambias. It's all speculation, but very good points are being made by the likes of KaKa, Edd, mrmojo et al - and not being adequately refuted. mrmojorisin75 suggests: So can Keegan's supporters please come up with something other than "It's all speculative bollocks" or "It's all Wise's fault"? UV asks Well, yes and no. He said (with some cheekiness I'm sure) "I didn't have a brochure this time. It came like a whirlwind — it is like one of those Lastminute.com holidays! There was no brochure — I just came." Secondly, Wise had yet to be appointed, though one must assume negotiations with Wise had already commenced. So no, Keegan was not explicitly told that the hierarchy was Ashley -> Llambias -> Wise -> Jimenez -> Keegan. However, if you think Ashley and Mort hired Keegan without telling him about the imminent appointment of an executive director (football), that Ashley and Mort duped Keegan into believing he would be an old-school manager with sweeping powers while secretly planning to go in exactly the opposite direction, well... I'll take Kaka's logic over yours thanks. raconteur, very few people want to hear this, instead they prefer the following word associations: cockney, lies, wise, southerner, season tickets, 3 years, fabrication, conspiracy KK, no wrong, innocent, victim, beyond criticism i'm still astounded that after years of shepherd leasing warehouses to the club, ridiculing the supporters publicly, taking massive dividends despite deteriorating results on the pitch (etc...) was affored so much time and never once was there a talk of a boycott of club products, marches, none of this s***...before anyone starts about balancing the books i'll point you to bobby robsons first 2 seasons for a parrallel on spend and manager...also to the sacking of bobby as well really is anyone gonna look me in the internet eye and tell me this doesn't just boil down to a nice bit of dirty regionalism against a southern owner and nasty dennis? anyone? really? Well said. Hopefully they take Keegan to court so the truth can come out and get the £2 million he owes the club in the process. anyone wanting them to proceed with that legal action does not have the best interests of the club at heart. it'll just cause a shitload of bother for no good reason. even if they get their £2m, total phyrric victory beyond belief. I have the best interests of the club at heart and it's why I want the record set straight, if Keegan wins in court then I'll happily back down and admit the club were in the wrong but if they win then I hope people drop the emotional s**** and admit Keegan is in the wrong. naive or daft (one of them) to think going to court is in the best interests of the club or the fans. even with they win - which wouldnt prove that much anyway, nor would losing, as it deals with legal technicalities which are only of interest to scrounging lawyers - how do you think it would make 90% of fans feel that the club, rich and owned by a billionaire, is stripping one of the greatest men in the club's history for £2m, for no other reason than they can. if they do that they just want to 'win' a legal argument rather than do what is in our best interests. they dont need the money, keegan probably does. do you think it was in the best interests of the club and fans to release that silly statement of theirs, too? No I don't, I think the statement was dropping down to his level exchanging insults, with the quick response from the LMA they were expecting it. The truth coming out is worth more to Ashley than £2 million, how many people do you think will stop this boycott of club products if the truth comes out that they're not to blame? I'd say quite a few. So does the mean if Ashley doesn't take him to court, there is no truth to come out - things are as Keegan has said?
  14. There are ways around that you know, if you really really wanted to watch it at home you could.....
  15. That and, No more John Motson Fuck aye. I'm dreading the day he retires, you just know that THAT clip will be shown a million times. Met him in the lift down from the Bamburgh Suite, he was with Graham Taylor. Got talking to them, Motson was a complete tosser, Taylor was a top, top bloke.
  16. It depends on how quick wiki are. I remember when Shepherd's rein was coming to an end and Oliver was making a prick of himself writing even more ridiculous stories than he does now (some in reaction to criticism on the NUFC sites), his wiki page was longer and was changed quite a few times. He found out and went ape s***. David Craig was able to 'break' the Keegan is sacked story on SSN because Oliver told him.
  17. It is a fact that David Craig gets most of his leads and info from Oliver. So he's going to say that. Look at the Ince story on The Comical website. Oliver looks at wikipedia, writes some guff, coupla of hours later SSN break it as exclusive.
  18. Am I the only one pleased that setanta have had the rights to these two matches? If it was on I'd watch by default, but now I don't have to watch the whole sorry episode.
  19. Yep would have to agree with that one. Went up at tiny bit in my estimation for that. Has it been announced that Keegan is suing the club?
  20. It's been 16 hours and nothing yet. Maybe the title of the thread needs to be changed? It is fairly vague.
  21. Used to be a member of the Jarrow branch of the Sunderland Supporters Association. Allegedly. Did they not notice his tattoo?
  22. I tried my best, I really did. I've even found some perverse sort of pleasure in agreeing with him these last few days. Sorry.
  23. Yep and the most pointless one. If you don't think about it, it might go away. I keep trying that with bills, parking tickets and women. Hasn't worked so far.
  24. Pretending for a moment that it matters, do you imagine for one second that Ashley could not very easily be caught in such a sting operation saying far, far worse things about the club, it's staff, and the supporters. There's no doubt in my mind that the tabloids will be hatching their schemes to catch him out as we type, and with the lack of tact he has shown in his few public interviews (I hate Spurs me, cave in Afghanistan) I can only imagine what he'll come out with when pissed in private. I'm expecting to see something within the year. What in a brothel with possies? I'd be surprised if he was stupid enough to fall for that. Strange that there seems to be the same 2/3 posters all over these threads that don't agree with the popularist view on the club. That's fair enough, but I would have to question their motives for it, when they feel the need to do it on EVERY thread about this. Maybe pushing a bit too hard shows up the fact that they are doing it mainly to go against the grain instead of actually truly believe what they are saying. If the popularist view is to place more importance to the kind of mild insults any of us might come out with in private than to finishing third and playing in the Champions League (you know, in the middle of the period where we "bent over and took it up the arse from the club"), then I'm happy to be labelled contrary. Well it's a good job for Robson, otherwise you would have been able to mention the champions league. No actually, I promise myself when I shut the computer down last time that I wouldn't get involved in the Shepherd thing. So what you're saying is if we concentrate on finishing 3rd that'll happen? I wish someone had told me earlier. do you mean "wouldn't" If not for Alex Ferguson, then Manu wouldn't either. What sort of daft talk is that ? Yep I did mean that. cheers. It's not daft talk as we employed other managers who failed in that time period, so if it wasn't for Robson we wouldn't be able to say that. manure had one, Ferguson. <sigh> this has all been said before. You're so determined to slate Shepherd you can't even give him [ them ie the board ] for appointing Bobby Robson, and managing a team that qualified in the Champions League and europe ? Dalglish and Gullit, at the time, were also 2 high profile successful managers, in the case of Dalglish, at the time, he was on a par with Alex Ferguson. What a difference 90 minutes makes eh ? If THE PLAYERS had performed in one of 2 FA Cup Finals and won one of them [and a number of games under Robson too] what would you say then ? Seriously mate, its attitudes like this that you can't help but wonder about We'll never agree, so I'm going to stop.
