  1. Seems like they're doing their best to get someone in at the moment.
  2. Pretending for a moment that it matters, do you imagine for one second that Ashley could not very easily be caught in such a sting operation saying far, far worse things about the club, it's staff, and the supporters. There's no doubt in my mind that the tabloids will be hatching their schemes to catch him out as we type, and with the lack of tact he has shown in his few public interviews (I hate Spurs me, cave in Afghanistan) I can only imagine what he'll come out with when pissed in private. I'm expecting to see something within the year. What in a brothel with possies? I'd be surprised if he was stupid enough to fall for that. Strange that there seems to be the same 2/3 posters all over these threads that don't agree with the popularist view on the club. That's fair enough, but I would have to question their motives for it, when they feel the need to do it on EVERY thread about this. Maybe pushing a bit too hard shows up the fact that they are doing it mainly to go against the grain instead of actually truly believe what they are saying. If the popularist view is to place more importance to the kind of mild insults any of us might come out with in private than to finishing third and playing in the Champions League (you know, in the middle of the period where we "bent over and took it up the arse from the club"), then I'm happy to be labelled contrary. Well it's a good job for Robson, otherwise you would have been able to mention the champions league. No actually, I promise myself when I shut the computer down last time that I wouldn't get involved in the Shepherd thing. So what you're saying is if we concentrate on finishing 3rd that'll happen? I wish someone had told me earlier. do you mean "wouldn't" If not for Alex Ferguson, then Manu wouldn't either. What sort of daft talk is that ? Yep I did mean that. cheers. It's not daft talk as we employed other managers who failed in that time period, so if it wasn't for Robson we wouldn't be able to say that. manure had one, Ferguson.

  5. tbf, there's not much written about this situation one way or another that isn't ridiculous hyperbole these days. "SHOOT ASHLEY IN THE FACE WITH A ROTTWEILER, SACK WISE, COME BACK KK", blah blah blah. It's all gotten rather boring. No, what's got boring is the fact that we have bent over and taken it up the arses from the club for the last 10 years or so.
  6. Assuming Keegan is treated properly, then I can't see why he would have a "tantrum" (or stick to his principles) I can't see any owner wanting to be wary of his P's and Q's to stay on the right side of an employee. For Keegan to be happy, he will want a big transfer war chest. A new owner might reason that most manager's will have some success with a big transfer budget, why take on Keegan? It's called having a happy, more productive workplace and I hardly think lying to someone is minding their P's and Q's. Because if they want happy players and fans and the money that comes with that it would be a sensible thing to do.

  8. Oh, come on, this should be common knowledge by now. That's from the interview in that club magazine, hardly a press smear. Two lines, two fraudulent claims to make people buy season tickets. The way it's worded still suggests that the players are being brought to Keegan and he's just giving his blessing to it rather than it being someone he's picked himself. After all who is deeming someone 'the right player' if it's not Keegan? erm, Dennis Wise, Tony Jiminez. Mike Ashley might not hve done that much wrong before hand, but by f*** is he making up for that now. It looks like he's trying to outdo Shepherd in the 'how to make the club look stupid' stakes. Like the shirt idea. incredible statement. I find it hard to believe that some numpties still don't put some value against a period where only 4 teams qualified for europe more than us Credibility destroyed. Shame we didn't even qualify for the intertoto with such a massively, massively better owner. You've done it again, haven't you? It like an illness. Before you go announcing my numptiness and destroying my credibility to everyone, try and sit back and relax. And read this. What I was tring to get at was that just about everytime Shepherd opened his mouth in the press he made a complete prick of the club, just like Ashley is doing at the moment, in fact, it's as if Shepherd has never been away the only difference being that the club aren't embarrassing us with interviews, but written statments instead. At no point in that post did I compare on field events (although if you were going to, you could only do over the same time period, not after ONE YEAR). So to be honest with you, I can't see why I've been labelled a numpty for that post, unless you're saying that Shepherd didn't embarrass us in the press? The only other thing I can think of, is that you mis-read the post due to your head being stuck up Uncle Freddies arse and released one of your pro-Shepherd outbursts without thinking. Can you let me know when my credibility has been restored?
  9. If the players he likes fall in line with the strategy set out by the club then I can't see why they wouldn't go for them. What happens if they aren't in line with the strategy?

  11. All this blaming Keegan's huffiness is interesting. I reckon that most of the top managers (Redknapp included), would have walked away from this one.
  12. No, the problem with us is that there too many people who accept this media invented rollercoaster ride. Shepherd went on to long because WE failed to do anything about it. This lot will do the same, unless WE do something about it. i was speaking to a mackem at work today and he came up with the point that had wise been the manager and keegan the DoF people would still have backed keegan and had they brought in robinho and kaka behind his back he'd have said nowt. Understand that it was your mate, but what he said is a complete waste of breath.
  13. None whatsover. I was in the disappearing fast category after Keegan left, but the ridculous statements and 'leaks' coming from the club are disgraceful and have totally finished Ashley and co off for me.

  15. Accept what though. They seem to be wanting to prove they are in the right but they dont confirm the crucial fact about the DOF being allowed to sign players without Kevin's agreement Wise came after Keegan and who's to say the explained the workings of the team fully to him. Wankers.

Are you 100% sure we were trying to sell Owen? Base your judgement on what you know not hearsay. Oh come on, if it wasn't true the club would've denied any of that a long time ago. "But if the club thought Owen wasn't going to sign a new contract" You knew that? You must eb well connected. Do you think he'll sign? A good chance, yes. Not now though.

If they thought Owen wasn't going to sign a new contract even after being offered a pay rise then i don't blame them for trying to move him on. Him and the rest of the team.

I'm not sure well run and sucessful are the same thing. Do you think the next manager will be sucessfull? If he fits into the 'new structure' and is a decent coach, maybe. But that doesn't take away from the fact that Keegan was royally shafted and a lot of people believed in him. It looks to me that Keegan was the one trying to shaft Wise, messing the club about over transfers and then using his popularity to try and get Wise the sack. Or just thinking that he was employed as a manager (as is in English football), watched Wise et al appear, then watch most of his say on how he could build HIS team disappear. It shows Ashley's complete lack of knowledge of football, if he EVEr thought Keegan would fit into that structure.

It has everything to do with Wise (and Jiminez). He's a horrible little c***, so is joey barton . will you support him if he is representing us ? He is, but he didn't get Keegan sacked, did he? Or maybe Keegan just knew this http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php And that by the end of Sept we'd have Owen, Martins, Carroll, Viduka, Ameobi and Xisco to fit into 2 places. No spin there. did i just read that? are you seriously trying to say we have TOO MANY strikers? mackems.gif I would have said that we have enough strikers and if someone who worked every day with the squad thought that a left back was more pressing, then I'd believe that.

No, you didn't read that anywhere.
  23. All we ever do is move on. Ever. Look where it's got us.
