  1. It likely just means that there hasn't been a decision yet, the PL often publishes new versions of the handbook, it's not fixed for the full year.
  2. To be pedantic it's actually Historic England. Technically they wouldn't even be a stautory consultee on development affecting the park, they are only a stautory consulted on Grade 1 and 2* Listed Buildings. It's possible they would get involved and request it is called-in by the Secretary of State but I wouldn't say it's a definite.
  3. Aye, and they're not a proper 'united' club formed from clubs joining.
  4. Aye, get Mad Dog out on the lash with Yasir and get them all 8 year contracts.
  5. I think it would be but some people feel like that about their country, hopefully Eddie isn't one of them.
  6. I think the only was Eddie takes the job is if he feels a sense of duty to accept, which I think there is a chance that he would. Although I think he'd hate not being involved with the players every day I think he is exactly what England needs, tactically at least.
  7. You lost £120m in your last published accounts and had a wage to turnover ratio near to 100%. The "clever selling stuff" is just putting the consequences off for a season or two, gambling on you continuing to get into the ECL.
  8. Although, on paper, UEFA's rules restrict associated party transactions to FMV they seem to have a far more lenient approach to that. In the recent guardian article about Man City's case against the PL it indicated that they have no issue with how the UEFA rules operate.
  9. Realism isn't negativity, I've said I'm very grateful for what she has done, I just doubt she did it out of love for the club.
  10. No one is saying she didn't give a toss, but it's naive to think that a ruthless businesswoman, with no qualms about working with despotic regimes and some other very unsavory people, did that out of love.
  11. I don't think any of them are truly genuine tbh, I'm very grateful to her for getting rid of Ashley but all this she fell in love with the club stuff is naive, she was attracted to an asset that she saw was massively undervalued and had more potential to grow than other assets. She is a ruthless businesswomen with very right-wing views, judging by people she is aligned with, who is willing to work with human rights abusing regimes if there is money in it for her.
  12. I think he has actually been doing that more than Staveley has since he was appointed, and he comes across as being engaging and down to earth when he has.
  13. I just find it a bit strange that there has been nothing from them or the club on this yet, maybe it leaking has caught them unprepared, but you would have thought they would come out with a statement of some sort.
  14. It could also be a personal, health and/or financial decision by them.
  15. Isn't it pretty much accepted knowlege that Minteh and Harrison at least were signed on the behest of Ashworth?
  16. Well, not nullified altogether if UEFA's FMV rules remain, but they seem to have a much more relaxed approach to FMV even though, on paper, the rules seem more stringent.
  17. He must be delighted to be away from those Monaco slums.
  18. This article suggests that the case is about the FMV requirement in general, not just the recent changes, even though it was submitted immediately following them https://www.theguardian.com/football/article/2024/jun/08/manchester-city-premier-league-legal-case
  19. I actually don't think it's the PL board that are the issue, I get the impression we're quite pally with the hierarchy now but Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs have enough of the others following them to push through changes unilaterally, sometimes against the advice of the board.
  20. I think it was probably more a case of being realistic that if a club he wanted to go to had met his release clause we wouldn't have had any other option, rather than it being a preferred plan.
  21. The documentary, which detailed the process of demonstrating FMV for the Sela deal, and the delay in stuff like the training kit sponsorship coming forward.
  22. Without the pretty much unprecedented injury crisis we had in the past season we would have easily finished top 6. There's a very good chance we'll finish in the top 6 this season without the demands of European football. Our FMV is not hugely less than the top 6 now, the PL has allowed us to sign deals similar to what they get, it's just obviously taking a lot of time to justify each one so it will be a longer process than we would like.
  23. Our revenue for 23/24 is likely to be in the mid 300 millions. If we continue to finish around the top 6 then eventually our FMV will be at the level of other top 6 clubs.
