Fantastic again. His touch and ball control are sublime for a bloke of his size. A pleasure to watch.
-
Awful, awful footballer. Brought very little to the side on Saturday.
-
Embarassing at the weekend. Showing very little promise, if any.
Would rather have Barton at RM.
-
We don't need Colo this weekend.
-
Contract?
-
Let's get Mehdi to rumble.

I want to the reserve game vs Norwich, Santons debut game but Gosling ran the match he was brilliant. He has though lost that bulk he had in pre season where he looked like a tank, not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
A good thing. He was a good stone and a half overweight.
-
Gosling was doing quite well for the reserves in an advanced position behind the strikers if I remember correctly? No reason why we shouldn't have Cabaye sitting in front of the back four, with Gosling providing Benny with support from CM.
I suspect we'll play a 4-4-2 this weekend, with HBA on the bench...

The thigh 'victim'.

Hernandez, Vidic, Given, Jenas.
All injured this week.
Sack their medical team as well eh?
Not that I'm defending Colocho at all here, but that's a right shit comparison considering they're not all the responsibility of the same medical team.
You wouldn't want to defend (or even agree with) me.

I wonder why it was only The Mag that was invited..?
Fair play to the club for doing so - hopefully other fanzines will also be invited in the future.

Colocho somehow manages to become a worse poster as each day goes by.
Define a bad poster.
Colocho
You are a much 'worse' poster, tbh.

Players actually getting injuries isn't the worry for me. We have genuinely had rotten luck at times this season. I was hoping this thread was going to highlight the fact that the club dont seem to be able to pinpoint when a player is going to be back. It feels like every single time they seem to get an extra 'niggle' or 'setback'. It doesn't fill me with hope for our medical staff that every time an injury turns out to be worse than first feared.
It'll always be 'bad luck' and that's probably why nothing will change.
-
Pardew has done well - but the reaction to the sacking of Hughton (and the appointment of one of Llambias' mates from the casino) was to be expected, imo.
-
For as long as I can remember, our squads (at almost any point during the season) have been riddled with injuries.
How much longer can we blame the amount of injuries (and the often longer than average lay-offs) that players pick up on 'bad luck' (or the colder North East climate) - and not question the seemingly incompetent medical and physio staff at the club?
-
Can see him playing this weekend.
-
Groin strain. Out for four to six weeks.
-
Rooney's international ban has been reduced to two matches, which means he will be available for Euro 2012 match against Ukraine.
-
Obertan should not start in this game, actually I don't want to see him on the field come saturday. Been really really bad for except 2-3 games this season.
My feelings exactly. Not really sure who he would be replaced with though if Pards is adamant HBA won't be playing on the wing
Raylor to RM, Santon to LB.

Cabaye - Came here (doubling his wages in the process) and rejected the opportunity to defend a league title and play in the Champions league for the club he came through the juniors at.
So what?
The hypocrisy in calling the likes of Nolan and Enrique money-grabbing/greedy etc. Half of the tools who call them such things will be saying the same about Coloccini in the summer...

Cabaye: Came here (doubling his wages in the process) and rejected the opportunity to defend a league title and play in the Champions league for the club he came through the juniors at. It goes without saying that he isn't held in the highest regard by Lille fans...
Ben Arfa: Went on strike to force through a move following fall-outs with players and members of the coaching staff (including the manager).
I would say we do have players who could be accused of being disruptive/greedy on our books. Yet, you'll still see people calling Beye, Bassong, Enrique, Carroll, Nolan, Barton, the list goes on the same terms.

That thread
Colocho declaring Coloccini wasn't a central defender, and that he should've been playing in midfield all along.
I did point to the fact that he had played at CDM for Depor and Argentina...
In that case we should certainly be giving Jonas a run at right back
Except Colo looked good at CDM (before he joined us).
-
Not sure that the players who were around when we were relegated would welcome Bassong back. Don't think he did himself any favours at the time.
We got rid of all that old/disruptive/overpaid/greedy/shit lot tbh.
Cabaye? Ben Arfa?

Completely average central midfielder. Very poor at times last season - I highly doubt that Carr would see him as an adequate replacement for Tiote.
Newcastle scouts were in attendance to see Knockaert in action for Guingamp in their French Cup match with Le Mans (TalkSport).
