Perez certainly seemed to adapt quicker to the PL than the Championship.

    Thank fuck for that
  3. That Birmingham Mail article notes that WBA turned down £32m from a Chinese club in January. Probably rules him out
  4. Rondon would be a superb signing. Would be surprised if WBA are willing to sell though.

£12m is reasonable. Just get it done.

I think it's the same for everything under that umbrella, isn't it? A lot of local media online sites are horrendous and many are identical to the Chronicle. It's Trinity Mirror. All of their local news properties use the same template.
  7. Only 40m Euros as well apparently - bargain if true.

How can we be in talks with him if we aren't even close to meeting his club's valuation? Surely they wouldn't allow him to talk to us as that would weaken their hand substantially? There is nothing in those two tweets that suggests we are in talks with the player. NUFC are in talks with Norwich; Murphy and his agents are also in talks with Norwich.

Feels pivotal in several respects. Young, talented, English, plays in a position where we are desperately short and said to rank highly on Rafa's list. Player also wants the move. Sealing the deal would be a huge relief - far moreso than Lejeune was IMO - and would go a long way towards keeping Rafa sweet.
  10. Sigurdsson has the 4th highest assist rate in Europe, and is the 3rd highest scoring midifielder in the league. I would argue that they definitely can't do better than that. His not exactly mobile, but he's a very good player who produces the goods consistently.

Has knocked back Palace according to Ryder.
  12. Wouldn't surprise me actually if these derisory bids are an attempt to unsettle the player to the point where he hands in a transfer request and forces Norwich's hand: Murphy's rumoured to be keen on the move at least. Certainly the sort of underhanded, stingy strategy that I can see the club pursuing.
  13. Initial bid was £8m. £10m is still too low IMO.
  14. Apologies if already posted, but this is an interesting take on Sigurdsson's current market valuation: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/transfer-news-gylfi-sigurdsson-profile-everton-leicester-swansea-latest-a7837516.html
  15. Financially we were on a level playing field though. Relegation and not being part of the first season's big TV money has set us back hugely. Don't care if we did make a profit in the transfer window last year it's still nowhere near what we'd have gained had we stayed up. If we'd stayed up I've no doubt we'd be for these £18-25m bracket players now and pushing top 8. We should still be paying the extra few million here and there to wrap up the likes of Murphy but it's no surprise the likes of Leicester and the rest who've been on the Sky gravy train for that season are outspending us. We really did choose the worst time to get relegated.
  16. Prices are only crazy because clubs get much more money now. Percentage wise, there's nothing crazy about the prices at all. We have just refused to move with the times. Missing out on the TV money glut last season probably hasn't helped mind.
  17. Would rather go for Traore than Montero personally.
  18. Douglas mentioned that we had been offered Baker on loan I think. I agree by the way on Baker - has much more football under his belt.
  19. Yup. It will be them. They will finish top 7 this season. Magnificent club, fantastic fans, superb stadium, scintillating football, and their handsome b****** of a manager knows Klopp. We are literally f***ed. Rattled marra Really jealous of them tbh. Rather have David Vanger than Rafa iyam. He plays like Klopp. There would've been hell on here if we had scored as few as Huddersfield did last season.
  20. Still in talks according to Ryder. Winger and a CM.
  21. Jota would be an excellent signing. Doubt it's us though - it'll almost certainly be Huddersfield as mentioned previously.
