  1. One of his alleged suitors has been implicated in this mess as well too tbf
  2. I hope that's all it is, but I can't understand why Charnley would be arrested? No West Ham official has been arrested as far as I'm aware? As I've said it is possibly because his name has been on official documents, West Ham may just have put the clubs name down, or Charnley may just be a recurring name. We have done more deals with OM than Weat Ham have, so Charnley will be in the firing line more. The ceo is the person responsible for the business so its them they would arrest. Simple as that really. Have I just giggsed myself? So why hasn't Karren Brady been arrested? You'd have to ask the authorities. Depends on the seriousness of the allegations? *and in answering that I may have just understood where that question was coming from; what's charnley done that Brady hasn't? That I don't know *

Only been Cabella and Thauvin on our side, whereas WHU have had dealings with Marseille re. Alou Diarra and Morgan Amalfitano as well as Payet. The Payet deal (or at least the sale back to l'OM) is also arguably the most significant in terms of money and profile.
  5. I hope that's all it is, but I can't understand why Charnley would be arrested? No West Ham official has been arrested as far as I'm aware? Yep, this is where I'm at a bit of a loss.
  6. Likely. Our only dealings have been Thauvin & Cabella. Why has Charnley been arrested though? In cahoots with the Corsican mafia? Is he Newcastle United MD and Ashley's stooge by day, Corsican mob Capo by night?
  7. Spurs for N'Kolou? Or was it some other winger they bought? Think I read that this applies to deals made under supervision of the old Marseille board (so pre-Aug '16), so suspect Chelsea would be under investigation for the Azpilicueta purchase rather than Batshuayi. Reckon QPR could also be in some bother over the M'Bia and Remy deals as well as Swansea for Ayew as you say.
  8. Mondial have clients all over the Premier League mind - Coutinho, Matic, Kante, Mahrez among others (https://www.forbes.com/companies/mondial-sports-management/). Would expect more clubs to be implicated if the investigation is linked to them.
  9. Charnley out of the picture ahead of a pivotal transfer window is not good news like, transfer ban or not.
  10. Telegraph suggesting that West Ham are being investigating over transfer activity and the involvement of player agents. Article also states that the investigation could extend to other clubs. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/04/26/newcastle-managing-director-lee-charnley-arrested-st-james-park/ Sounds like this could just be the tip of the iceberg...

  12. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/newcastle-and-west-ham-raided-by-hmrc-after-transfers-investigation-a7702521.html HMRC say they have arrested "several men working within professional football industry for suspected income tax & national insurance fraud."
  13. Saints have responded well. Playing some lovely stuff down the right-hand side.
  14. 4. In the main, I've just relished having a likable team and a manager to be proud of for the first time in years. It has been a slog at times, particularly in recent weeks, but there have been some notable highs - the 6-0 drubbing of QPR where we were magnificent, the back-to-back away wins at Brighton and Huddersfield, the 4-0 against Birmingham...Perez's goal against Ipswich was a real highlight for me, capping off a passage of play that really felt like the culmination of what Benitez has been trying to instill in terms of identity and playstyle this season; controlled, calculated possession to create space, freeing Shelvey up to play the decisive pass. Was absolutely beaming when Perez tucked it away, just a brilliant, brilliant team goal.
  15. Thought for a minute that he wasn't going to give the handball Was absolutely creasing.
  16. But just think what Neil Warnock could've achieved with this squad.
  17. Please don't fuck this up.
  18. Made hard work of it in the end but very proud of Rafa and the players on the whole. A quite incredible turnaround in such a short space of time. Worth remembering that this is a very young squad on the whole - average age of 24.7 on the pitch tonight if you exclude old Blobby. Yedlin in for Anita would bring that down even further. Hell of an achievement by Rafa to turn an unfamiliar, relatively inexperienced squad into title contenders. Made up Jamaal looked like he was welling up there and all!
